I've learned a lot from the KZbin greats. I regularly watch Paul - SD, Eric O - SMA, Ivan - PHAD, Keith - New Level, Eric - Advanced Level, Mike - Wells Tech, OZ, Maic Salizar, Joe's AE, Bernie Thompson - ATS, etc etc, and you are definitely right up there with the best of them Mario. You are very good at what you do, and I love watching all of the deep, in depth diags that seem to come your way. Thank you for the time you take sharing your passion with us, it's always very educational.👍🇦🇺

Thanks so much for these free videos man. Sure it takes a lot of your time to make and edit them so i'm very greatful . I repair salvage cars for living. Everything i learned from youtube , specialized books, online forums, free articles in online magazines(motorage, bodyshopbusiness). And learning the basics of electrical and electronics was the hardest and most exhausting thing to learn. And i know mig sheet welding , frame machine repair and autobody measuring. But darn electrical stuff is so hard. My favourite channels are yours , Pine Hollow auto diagnostics , Scanner Danner, Automotive test solutions, and Maic Salazar. Important to mention - your channel and Pine Hollow Auto Diagnostics is the number one , at least for me. You two make videos very frequently, and the videos are the most educational. Scanner Danner still makes some great videos on his free channel, but the truth is he's concentrated on his paid channel. And ATS and Maic Salazar make only 1-2 videos a month. I'm also subscribed to a 15-20 more channels that do simple diagnostics. But they lean towards general mechanics and serious DIY , other than professional diagnosticians/technicians like you and Ivan. I DONT speak bad for them. Just trying to say that you and Ivan bring HIGH QUALITY in LARGE AMOUNT.Thanks 👍

Awesome stuff to hear! What I will say about Danner though, is for $11usd a month he is offering something that no one else is. He actually teaches this stuff in depth, in class… like how it all actually works - that’s more, and different than everyone else; and then he has a massive video case study library to compliment it all! That is something unique and worth a lot more than what he charges in my opinion. Just saying, because if it wasn’t for that and for him, it would be a lot harder to follow along with what everyone else is doing! The likes of Mario and others are the sharpeners of our troubleshooting swords… Danner has done great things to help techs actually FORGE their sword!

I have learned the exact same way, Mario! I am sooooo thankful that this content is out there! Those of us who are paying attention know exactly who you’re talking about who you say you’ve learned from, and now you are one of them… you have been for some time, brother! I would never make videos about it… it’s not my bag, so-to-speak, but because of you folks, round my parts, nestled in a town in Ontario Canada, we are the shop people bring it to when they want they’re vehicle troubleshooted! My sincere thank you! To you and the KZbin automotive gurus! ✌️

It all goes back to the fundamentals. It's a coil of wire. 12v ground side switched circuit. Goes back to my favorite diagram Scannerdanner would draw to simplify the diagnosis. 12v in to the injector and transistor is off...12v continues back to the pcm for circuit integrity testing. It was literally like a light bulb went off in my brain and all 12v coil type circuits made sense from that day on. He preaches fundamentals for a reason. Such an easy test one you have the fundamentals. I really enjoy watching your videos because I learned the same way through hours of scanner Danner premium videos, and his book. Keep up the good work! Thanks for all you do for the community.

Just a comment; I have a 2013 Fiat Abarth Turbo. Recently it started missing on 1 cyl. and I got a check engine light along with periods of the light flashing" (bad news when that happenns) Anyway, a friend of mine and I begiin the usual check for codes (didn't use some cheap Amazon OBD2 rig either, but got NO CODES! Begin checks by removing the plugs and found #3 looking very bad so we stuck the plug into the ignition module and grounded the plug base to the engine, it sparked very well. Installed new plugs, just in case, got the same fire on all 4 cyls but still missing. Checked injectors and found them working fine. Then my friend said, "check the compression" and sure as hell, #3 was 30 ;si on chranking and a little under 60psi on run. All the other cyl's were checking well over 100psi. Just a warning, check the compression! I have seen no KZbins where this is performed but then I haven't made a carrer of sifting through every posting either. BTW, the car will run fine if I kkeep the RPM's above about 2500,, at 4K it has some good accel and seems to run fairly well. Looks like valves and/or rings so big job ahead.

Easy fix. I don't like running by-pass wires myself, although in situations like this it really is the only cost effective way of repair. I just like to know exactly what the issue is and fix it, instead of by-passing and wondering if something else is going to go wrong in that section of the loom.

I saw appreciate the detail of what you showed in this video. I'm a former pediatric nurse and learned so much after nursing school. I have a 2015 Fiat and it is not misfiring but the meter I have is reading PO300 in upper right hand corner of meter is shows freeze frame 01/03, 02/03 pending, 03/03 permanent. My car has 99K has received oil changes every 3,500 miles. The spark plugs and coils are the same as when I bought the car at 31,000 My gut says start with changing the spark plugs/coils and then see if engine light resets. OR do you think I should do a full diagnostics. Thank you.

I wanna hear the bill lol...if u charge by the Hr would that Diag fee cover the repair ...since it's a simpl one.( running a new wire) Also keep in mind came from another shop. Jobs like these if feel like they should be charged for the experience rather than just a simple fix. Especially if parts were already thrown at it. It's easy because u put in the time and effort to make it look like that. For example No Start due to no communication came in from several shops ...come to u but u fix in one hr

The diagnostics was top notch, but the repair was a little bit hacky. You are never supposed to do crimp connections to anything going to the computer or coming out of the computer as they are usually low voltage circuits that are sensitive to an fluctuation. Crimps are not solid joints, therefore they wear over time causing issues like movement and increased resistance. Also, an overlay is a quick fix but not ideal. Nobody likes to tear into the harness because it is a pain in the ass, but it is the right way to fix it. I understand why you did these things, and most likely there won't be any problems with it, but there could be. Your diagnostics was the best there is though!
@SuperMarioDiagnostics2 жыл бұрын
I understand where you're coming from. But keep in mind, many manufacturers themselves tell us to fix wiring with crimps. So to say we are never supposed to do them, I'd say, no longer holds true. It's the movement causes issues, not the crimp itself that causes the issues, which it's why crimps are to be fastened in way to minimize vibration. These aren't what i would call low voltage circuits, voltages can reach as high as 100v during the inductive kick of injection event. Doing it this way does not make it the wrong way. Appreciate the discussion. This field ever changing/adapting. I believe that when done correctly, it's a prime example as to how times and general opinions have changed through the test of time.

I can’t believe people still don’t believe in crimping wires! Actually, I have seen a bad soldered spice point from the factory because of corrosion!
