2012 Ford Ka (or Fiat 500) 1.2 - Quick Engine Oil Change

This video shows how to change the engine oil in a 2012 Ford Ka.
These are the tools I used:
1. Trolley jack and two axle stands. This was just to improve access under the car. You could use wheel ramps instead.
2. 2.8 litres of 15W40 fully synthetic oil and a Crosland L10209US oil filter.
3. 12mm hex key adapter for the sump plug. The one I use fits my 19mm ratchet spanner.
4. Strap wrench to loosen the old oil filter.
5. Oil pan to catch the waste oil.
6. Funnel to help with pouring the new oil.
7. Paper wipes to clean up old oil residues.
8. Nitrile gloves to protect my hands.
Please dispose of old oil and filters responsibly at a recycling centre that accepts used motor oil.

A good easy to follow video. I will be doing my other halfs Ka at the weekend.I have just completed an oil and filter change on my 2005 Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 CDTi Design and it was a complete pig to do compared to this.

I have a 2013 Ford Ka, the steering wheel became rough, and I could not find a place to change the oil or the fuse. Please tell me where I find the problem

Good point! It's a self sealing tapered thread on this engine, so there isn't a sump plug washer to replace ☺️

There's no engine cover. The air filter housing sits on top of the engine.

Would u need the thread seal for the sump plug?

I didn't because the sump plug was tapered so was self sealing. About a year later the sump developed a leak and I had to remove it and I fitted a good quality but non-genuine replacement. The new sump had a different plug which required a copper washer to form the seal. You could therefore find either style sump plug, but most likely it'll be tapered.
