You say that a 1 1/16" socket is needed for the filter housing but then say 17mm. That is incorrect. SAE to metric for that size converts to 27mm.

Absolutely horrible place for an oil filter. I'm looking for a new vehicle and I've learned to look for 2 important things before buying. How easy is it to 1: replace alternator . 2: oil filter replacement. With the winters and amount of salting I can see that not coming loose sooner than later.
