2012 Ford Transit Connect: 4 Guys In a Car Review

Just how well does this workaholic utility van handle passengers? We know that the 'wagon' version of the Transit Connect isn't the most popular variant, but surprisingly enough it offers a ton of functionality for families on the go-or workplaces that need to haul workers as well as cargo.

i once drove into a mall parking lot and the roof got all scratched because it touched the ceiling. And it is the most uncomfortable ride ever. after an hour drive you will feel it. and it is hard to drive above 60 miles because of the wind and the car goes left and right like crazy.

I have one with 140k miles and its been relatively good. The main issue with these is the wheel bearings prematurely failing

I hear they have alit of transmission problems. Is it worth getting one?

They have transmission problems is if you overload the cargo weight. I carry light loads, so my transmission is fine

As a person that is forced to drive one of these abominations for work, I can safely tell you that these are useless, unless you live somewhere where it's always flat and dry. This thing is the worst vehicle I have ever had the displeasure of driving. There is nothing positive I can say about it.

I've driven the 2nd gen model for a while and it handles very nicely. Even the 1st gen wasn't bad at all. It's based off the Focus so the handling is great. I just wish they had the EcoBoost available in the US. What were the problems you were having?

Strange. Its one of my favorite cars. Incredibly practical with smooth ride and good mpg
