Hi Bernie, another great video, I was just wondering when youre injecting a 5 volt reference like that, do you usually always have it set to 25Hz and is there any danger to the ecm by sending 5 volt ref under certain conditions? Ive been building some circuit testing devices like this and was trying to find out what freq the 5 v ref should be. And is there any particular mosfet used? is there a 10k resistor across the mosfet gate and source? You guys at ATS have some sweet tools..

I'm curious as to what the O2 signal voltage would have been if the scope would have grounded to sensor ground Instead of battery ground.
@jordysandino65778 ай бұрын
Hello sir . I always enjoyed your videos uncle berny I have a question I know you look at the scope and determine that the o2 was pull down but how do you know that? All I see is re red line down but how to know that it is a pull down and not a bad 02 ?. Thank you sir

Is this sharpshooter built into the EScan? I get a little lost when you jump between things, it almost sounds like these are all add ons? The Escan isn't a cheap tool, looking at it on AESwave website it doesn't give a clear breakdown of all the options it has, I don't think anyways.

Wow! So many more things that can go wrong or give misleading results. I think I need a larger brain folks! Hahahaha. To think that the old Suck, Squeeze, Bang, Push has become so super sophisticated. Lol. Great video as always Bernie, many thanks for posting. Where would we be if brilliant people didn’t pass on their hard earned technical knowledge and experiences. Again many, may thanks, it is truly appreciated.Regards, Peter A. (PicasoPete151)

Gm never ran a ground bias..... This one 1.27 volts. Gm always ran a 450mv signal bias. Do they run only ground bias on this vehicle or do they have both?

Note: The low signal circuit is tied to a pull-up circuit within the engine control module. A voltage of 0.0-1.10 V on the low signal circuit is normal per G.M. S I.

and if anyone is wondering how to charge for this type of work , it is simple ,stop charging per diagnostic hour and start charging for each diagnostic test.
@2nickles6472 жыл бұрын
You charge for all the time it takes to diagnose the vehicle. There is no simple or average charge.
