I'm blown away by the fact that it's a mechanical fuel pump. I expected to see the wholly electric high pressure type. Also seems noice that it's right there on top fOaR easy access. I mean the last fuel pump I replaced was on a GM 350 which was located ( I mean hidden...) up in the underside of the motor. Disconnecting the fuel lines meant all the fuel going UP came back DOWN. Really fun to deal wit when yur laying down under the motor and reaching up one handed to get at the fittings. The fuel soaks the rag and runs down yur arm. SOoo much fun. (_Oo)

yeah it is odd, My favorite part is the plastic low pressure pump in the gas tank... reminds me of the plastic transmission on one of the new washing machines.

Hi did it resolved by changing the high fuel preesure sensor?

yes, it did. not having this issue any longer.

Did your xheck engine light stay off after several days?

yes.. my check engine light eventually came back but for another issue. now I'm experiencing an evap issue not related

It was just running rough and popped a CEL

I just replaced one for my car but it did not resolve the problem for me.

It's probably the fuel pump in the trunk.
