Hi. I did the same exact thing to my 2010 Jeep Patriot. I removed the front bumper, sanded 180 grit the paint , wiped with alcohol, applied rustoleum primer then the rustoleum black trim paint. Came out butters! no overspray or bleed.

Did this test on my dodge avenger, long term drops from 30% - 0 only on heavy acceleration. Short term increases from about 8%-28% during heavy acceleration. Does that mean both for me? 🤣😩

Mines having trouble starting, it always starts but struggles, I narrowed it down to fuel pump or an ignition issue. I have no other issues and it's NOT throwing a code....

Jack, would it be overkill to attach an anti-static strap whilst working on an open tank like that? Similar to I.T. techs working on servers.

I’m not sure. I’ve never heard of another mechanic doing that, and I’ve never been taught to do so. I’ll have to research that a little more.

You lucky Jeep owners! Had to do a trap door in my camaro and a van. Why chevy would want you to drop your exhaust and gas tank just to replace a pump. Stupid!
