What I have to say about the 2012 Lexus ES 350: For 2013, Lexus is redesigning the ES and there will also be a hybrid available. The 2012 is still a very good car is very recommended by me, but the 2013 will even be better. The Leather in this car is so good it almost soaks you into it, which alot of cars don't do that. Technology is pretty good too as well as the room. The 2012 Lexus ES 350 is good if your looking for a midsize luxury sedan and if your looking something more special than the typical Camry, well this is your car.

@@tylerarnold3971 I absolutely LOVE it. Rides incredibly smooth, it's everything I could have asked for. I have not spent a dollar on maintenance other than a couple of oil changes. I think I may need new brake pads soon but thats it haha. Its been a pleasure to own so far and looking forward to getting more years out of her for sure. If you are thinking about getting this car and find a good deal do it! You wont regret it

@@1way448 well considering how crazy ridiculous the used car market is right now, we are getting one for $18k tomorrow. It's got a crazy amount of features and only 80k miles. In a world where Nissan Sentra with 50k miles are $16k.. I'll spend a few extra thousand to get the Lexus haha

This vehicle does not use Premium gasoline. Since the 2011 model year they only require unleaded gasoline.

you'll know if it runs on premium are not it says on the sign it runs on premium for 2010 model read it when you open gas tank

You CAN use premium for 272hp, regular gets you 268 theres probably not much difference tbh

No. This car runs on regular unleaded 87 octane. 2012 was the first year and all previous years required premium unleaded. Lexus tweaked the engine so that it could run on regular fuel. However this sacrificed a little less horsepower. I’ve had two Lexus vehicles a 2005 ES330 and 2010 both which required premium unleaded. A pain at times because of the smaller gas tanks and higher gas prices plus if extra driving longer distances.

LH well the 2007-2012 models have the same engine, the only differences are minor interior differences. Same engine, same parts. They just sold the first ones saying “premium only” to target richer people. But both are identical mechanically, the sticker that says premium only is the only difference. Same engine. Regular will work fine in older models but yes, sacrifice a few horsepower.

@@dknights6414 the engine being the same isn’t as important as how it is tuned from the manufacturer. If it’s tuned to run on premium then that is what you should use.

I just got a 2012 Lexus ES 350 2 weeks ago. Nice smooth ride and lots of luxury features. I traded my 2012 Camry LE 4cyl 2.5L. It was consuming oil more than normal. I couldn't be bothered to fix the engine not knowing what it all needed.

Lester Penner Hello, im interested in a 2012 ES350. What package did you get? Is there anything specific I should look for when buying a 2011-12 ES? I saw one recently that has 75k and is a 1 owner. Front bumper looks resprayed but overall really clean ES.

@@CP-pb3pj We got the Premium package with Heated and cooled front seats. Navigation. There is still a pakage with afew more options yet. The front bumper has abit of paint peeling need to get that fixed. It had 148 kms and looks well maintained. Those cars last a very long time with regular maintenance. That 3.5L V6 is Toyota Lexus rock solid reliable engine. I don't think you can go wrong with that Lexus ES with 75k.

@@CP-pb3pj it's my first Time buying a Lexus vehicle I really don't know of anything in particular to look for. The guy at the Lexus dealership told me that the 2007 to 2012 Lexus ES were very reliable and not many issues. He says the newer models were having abit more issues like power windows ect.

Lester Penner Thank you for replying Lester. I’m going to keep looking around and find me an ES. I have 2 other Lexus. My daily driver is a 2000 ES300 and our family car is a 2012 GX460. I like to buy them used and they both have treated me good so far. I will check out the 2013 and up just to see. But to be honest I like 07-12 interiors better since they have that classy feel to them. Thanks again!

My 86 year old grandma has a 2012 ES350, I've driven it & it's extremely comfortable, but far from sporty, steering is very smooth, but very dull at the same time, defiantly more of an old persons car. I have a 2017 IS200t F-Sport & it's a whole lot more sporty with very agile handling, especially in sport mode while still having a very comfortable ride, not quite as buttery smooth as the ES, but is still impressive for what it is.
