I repaired a crank no start last year by a process that proved successful. However, to this day I don't know why the fix worked. I showed the video to Eric and he said that exact thing. "It's better to be lucky than good". You did a great job on this one. With the customer's knowledge to keep an eye on it, everyone is on the same page.

This is normally how EVERY electrical diag goes for me. The wiring diagrams - if I can find one - are usually useless or wrong, then I touch something and the problem is gonzo! Main reason I have few diagnostic videos - mine would be of no value to anyone. Those jobs get me pretty steamed, lol. You did what any of us would have done. Thanks for sharing, Corey, and hope you and the family are all staying healthy and safe.

Excellent find! What a pain! Nissan can be as bad a VW when it comes to service info sometimes. Way to go you & Joe! I know it's not "fixed"... but I agree with the way you handled this. You can only do so much. Wait until it's worse.... is what I'd do.

There are three things I would do in this case: 1. look for wires or connectors that touches the mounting rail, possibly not connected to the head unit. 2. unplug the head unit and install it several times. If that doesn't pop, it could be the head unit. 3. Russian repair time. Disassemble the head unit and look for burn mark.
@SAAutoRepair4 жыл бұрын
#1 and 2 already done. I'll wait for #3 when I can confirm the fault. Keep you posted.

Love watching your vids. Is it possible something like a piece of conductive material could been sucked in behind the radio and wiring, or dropped from above and your moving the harness dislodged and it had fallen away from the area, check behind the radio area for something on the floor, it could be anything. Hope this helps, thanks
