I guess I should take the fill plug back out and put teflon tape on it. But I haven't experienced any leaks.

Is there an additive you can add to the rear diff when you do the fluid change that will help make it a little less noisy? Maybe a Lucas product?

What did you end up doing about the silicone around the fill plug? Did you scrape it off? Did you reinstall the drain plug with the crushed gasket?

@@deberrydiagnostics4169 Dumb question since I just did mine, why would you prefer teflon tape over silicone? Is it just that the person who used silicone didn't clean up their work?
