Bought mine as a 2nd car. A pleasure to drive. Could park it in my garage with lots of room for lawn mower and snowblower. Great mileage and uses regular fuel. Repair costs are minimal. Very solid driving on major highways too. With both my wife and I and the back seats down there is ample space for large grocery shop. I kept the snow tires on all year and saved on bi-annual swaps with no decrease in mpg. Best and most fun car ever!

You can easily fit an adult behind the passenger, but not the driver as it's listed as a 3+1 seating. I absolutely love mine. 95% of the time I'm the only occupant so the rear seats stay folded down. My daily commute to work is about 25 miles and I get about 12 days on $22 in gas. It handles great, comes with a nice audio system w/bluetooth streaming and HD radio and gets lots of curious looks. People are always surprised at the interior room offered for front passengers.

I really like it. Very enjoyable on the highway. Plenty of room. Great speakers and dashboard. I get 42 mpg on my latest highway trip.

I got one, it is a great car. Phila. Pa. to Wildwood NJ at 85 mph was no big deal. The mpg is great as well.

It is a Toyota iQ in Europe and Japan. They put the Scion Logo on it for America.

You'll be surprised. Now, the presenter is from upstate New York. Now, this potential Scion iQ customer would be an urbanite who lives downtown and is single. So, he/she would live in NYC, LA, or any other big city who needs a small car to get around without the need of public transportation.

I have a 2012 iQ with 38000 miles. The blizzard pearl paint has been peeling off the car in sheets over the past year or so. I've discovered at the IQ online forum that dozens if not hundreds of other owners of the same car with the blizzard pearl paint have suffered the same experience. how is the wind and road noise when driving in the city and how about the freeway particularly? Steve says its noisy although toyotas tend to be very comfortable and quiet. However, of course, the iq is a very unusual car for toyota.

I would recommend the $20 optional shelf under the drivers seat...it might increase your payment but it's well worth it.

Steve nailed it with the iQ's steep price and not so impressive fuel economy. I drive mostly in the city with my compact car, but the more practical Scion xD is the smallest size I would go.

It is not possible with the stock 16" x 5" rims. You could go to a 16" x 7" or 17" x 7" rim with wider tires. No prob with OEM warranty as far as I know.

Less car should equal less money. With that money you could get a decently equipped subcompact.This car should be $10k max.

Well I belive they didn't include it because it is meant to be a city car. You can buy and install a third party cruise control though

The Smart has more storage (cubby holes and what not), and is even easier to park, and honestly what was the point of giving the IQ rear seats? It's clear that was simply a gimmick to make it seem more "practical" than the smart, which it kinda isn't.

then what about the IQ of people who buy the Smart Fortwo? base on the specs, this is a better deal then that one. most Smart Fortwo buyers would probably buy this one if compare side by side. people don't like to admit they made a mistake with impulsive buying when Smart Fortwo first came out, but seems everybody wanted one because of great marketing campaign. but now even Smart Fortwo sales are down.

Too expensive and doesn't save nearly as much in gas as I thought it would. I would never pay 17k for a car like this unless I got over 40mpg high way. Sorry Scion, bump up that MPG and then we'll be talking.
