That is pretty cool that the Multimedia screen has a "Video In" Input. All you need is a power inverter and you can throw a game console in it, remember when Playstations in cars was a big deal? Not anymore.

It's called meeting emission and safety regulations. Every year it gets a little bit tighter and the manufacturers have to add more equipment, adding weight and choking off power and fuel economy.

yes ,2006 CDI smart car(common rail direct injection diesel engine) this little sucker can run 500 km on a full tank(22 liter),little short of 6 US gallons.Also,with a heavy hand and hyper-milling drive I once reached 600 KM,but only once.

this is the perfect car for 2 people....driving around the city and make a lot of stops is perfect...i bought it 2 days ago...it has a lot of space...i would recomend people to buy it...but i would also recomend people to have a bigger and more powerful car to go out of state...i don't think you'd want your IQ going out of state with such a limited space to barely put your bags...but is a good choice for single people or couples without babies!!!! so far i'm enjoying my car.

It is one of the best looking city cars on the market, has a practical interior and should be a blast to drive with 98 hp and its low curb weight. I doubt it will be popular in the US, but a great car nonetheless.

sat in the car at the dealership while waiting for my sienna .. nice materials and comforatble front seat .. but Prius C would probably be a better choice .. or a Mazda 2 .. at least you can hvae some storage ..

Ahh..as the haters spew out negativity. I was given one to drive for 4 days. I drove it around town and on the highway. One thing you have to remember: It's a runabout. You have to exercise extra caution and defensive driving. Otherwise, this review is dead on and I had a lot of fun driving it. However, they need to knock off $2k before I'd buy one. I'll stick to my Corollas.

i don't know why people always trash talk small car about losing in a crash, it has been proven Camry will destroy any truck that it ran into, its about the frame's Straeth. Truck that are built today will crumble, they are made out of plastic and aluminum. The reason why they do well is because of their height, the frame hit your hood instead of Frame vs frame. But Truck is prone to flip n crashed and the driver die either from being thrown out or crushed under their own weight.

Not a big fan of these 'micro' cars but this one is indeed the most intriguing one to date. I saw one at the fair and they look much better up close. Only major complaint is the lack of a manual transmission option.. perhaps that will be an option soon.

The Prius "CVT" has ONE gear. Toyota hushes up about this "CVT" and lets people think it has what engineers refer to as a CVT (a gearbox with an infinite or very high number of gear ratios). . What type of "CVT" does the IQ have? If it does in fact have a true CVT, it may be the first commercial auto with one.

I like how their like "we designed this car to be blah blah blah" when really this car came out 2 years ago in the U.K. Scion only switched the badges and gave it different wheels. Btw I know scion and Toyota are 1 company. Also Aston martin re badges this car as a Aston to cut their Co2 levels down in the U.K. They add nice leather and a upgraded interior. And some extra features but who would pay 50k for a Aston/ IQ?

I'm all for unique, high quality small cars. It's about time we get them here in the states. But I'm really at a loss with this IQ. Comparably speaking, it's expensive, the highway fuel economy is worth that some larger cars, and the styling is typical toyota charmless. I have a hard time seeing a salesman selling me on the IQ over the Fiesta, Accent, Rio, Sonic, etc, etc.

what the hell is the matter with these little bitty microcars that can't get better than 40 mpg?!!? we had geo metro's and ford aspire's 20 years ago that were even bigger than these and they could get 50. now we have all this fancy technology and what has it done to improve mileage? i would absolutely LOVE to have a tiny car like this but it's gotta get at least 50 or 55 mpg to make it worth it. you can get 37 to 40 mpg with a compact that seats 5.

Actually -- could somebody tell me why anyone would choose this car over a Honda Fit .The price is too close to argue about . Utility wise this little Scion cant even hold a candle to the Fit . And the cute ugly thing is growing old .If they were selling for $10 grand it might be worth considering -- I think they'll be gathering dust in the dealer lots .-- Even the mileage is nothing extraordinary Toyota really pooched the puppy on this one .
