@Dramquart11 жыл бұрын
I have a 2009 TRD of road manual and love it. My only grippe is that when the car is warmed up, the revs tends to stick around up high when you shift to neutral, which makes up shifting more finicky than it should. Especially second to third. Actually helps with down shifts tho.

i have a 2011 Taco TRD double cab 6 speed manual. The throws are a little long which is normal for a truck. I love it. You can get the TRD short throw gear shift as an option if you want to have sportier shifting. I recommend this truck at 100%

I was looking into Tacoma's, also looked into Frontier and Colorado. I settled on Tacoma, because the doublecab back seats have plenty of room. Frontier and Colorado doublecab back seats are cramped. Had a 1999 Dodge Dakota before, that's American. 130,000 miles and still running as perfect as day 1. I know someone else who has a 1992 Dodge Dakota, still running perfect too. If anything tho, the suspension on those trucks tends to wear. Very happy with my Tacoma tho, only 600 miles so far.

Nice. My dad was actually considering one, but it was out of his price range and stuck with the Outback instead. I think that 4 liter was also used in the T100 which was also a pretty nice truck for its day.

You can still drive and shift quickly, but not as quick as a vehicle with short throw shifter. If this is what you want, then get the optional TRD short throw kit. I suggest taking a stock 6 speed for a test drive and see if you like it.

Great review! 6sp manual in that truck I believe is actually slower to 60mph than the auto. I owned an 07' Double Cab 4x4 5AT and really loved it. I found the interior to be quite comfortable especially on long road trips. Not the best for commuting though...my average mpgs with a light foot was barely 17mpg - floor it and it drops quick. Also you note the noise difference between the 4runner and the Taco - 4Runners come with a bit more sound deadening I believe. My bro noticed the sound dif 2.

Hopefully automakers don't pull out of the compact pickup segment. I would never buy a full-size considering that their are not as fuel efficient, and if you get a small engine in a full-size you have to get regular car, which is a inconvenience. Good video

If it's a Tacoma it was made in California or Texas. If it's a current gen Tundra it was built in Texas and if it's a previous gen Tundra it was built in Indiana. The only Toyota manufacturing facility in Mississippi is in Blue Springs. It began production in fall of 2011 and only produces Corollas.

no. I tell you. there is such a lack of power for the v7. You have to bring the revs up to at least 4100 rpm before you kick it into gear in order to get it moving. It has great gas milage tho, 15 city, 13 highway.

The compact truck market isnt dying... Ford pulled out of the US market, maybe because the unrealistic vehicle standards. It is thriving overseas. If we could only get the D4D Diesel engine in the US you would see alot more Toyotas being sold..or Just send us the Hilux..

Are the wheels powder-coated black or is that plastidip? I see that the inner side of the wheel is not painted which leads me to believe that it's plastidip, also the fact that the emblems are blacked out also leads me to believe it's plastidip, as using it is the easiest way to cover emblems and etc.
