I agree. Had a 1.2 TSI in my Skoda Fabia. Timing Chain had to be replaced at 70kkm but it was a very reliable car.

VW cars of this era are excellent. I own a 2010 2.5 manual golf in the US, and it is quiet, quick, and handles the freeway better than any other car i've driven (I guess that because it was designed for the german autobah). Unfortunately most Golfs sold in the US have a 5-speed manual rather than a 6-speed.
