@hondayamahadirtbiker Correct. Alot of people think FI increases the power but it only decrease it and the top end. The ktm250sxf with a carb use to do near 40hp then ktm decided to try FI now its doing 35hp ( lowest hp out of all 250F's ).The only bike that's getting good with FI is the kx250f (2012) with duel injection increased 2 hp compared to the 2011.

In general EFI is just more reliable. And I've never had a problem with an EFI machine's electronics going bad. Along with them being sealed, waterproof and shockproof, it's basically no different than the ignition control module that every carbureted bike has. Some of the pros from an EFI, custom fuel injection mapping which usually means the best possible power, automatically adjusting for elevation, no more choke, pretty much always starts regardless of how long it's sat or how cold it is.

i have a yz125 and i love it but it mostly depends on if you like 2 stroke or 4 stroke

i got a 2010 yz250f with fmf exaust and my brother got a 2012 yz250f i rode it around the yard in 1st gear and it has way more power than the 2010 and my reply to the comment you have to ride it hard to to make the engine crank, you gotta pin it to win it

Yea the yz is the best out the wide shrouds is nice to put ur leges against and the bike feels real tight and I've had no problems with the carbs over any fuel injection i owned a kx 2012 250f and I actually road my buddy's yz and then sold my kx for the yz250f way better bike and looks bad ass too!! ;)

why are people complaining about the carb. Thats way better than breaking the computer in a efi bike. So what you have to clean it every now and then i' d rather do that then have to replace a 750 efi computer

Maybe it’s just my 2012 yz250f but the carb is all messed up and it Boggs in low rpm’s, I rebuilt it 3 times but still no luck so I decided to take it into the shop and I eventually had to buy a new carb, but because electron doesn’t make a carb for the 2012 I had to buy an OEM one that was $830.

Fuel injection on a 250 is not really good yet. You actualy loose power with fuel injection. @14Nitrofreak
