Good video. I'm still new to all this. I have a 3.8 bk2 , with Borla exhaust, obx headers, and Injen intake. My next step is the tune, then maybe in about 6-8 months get the internals done, and supercharge. Can't wait. This was a very informative video. Ty

Amazing video!!! Very detailed and informative! I have a 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe BK2 3.8 auto and will definitely invest into TCU tune for my automatic!! Right now I’m running the AlphaSpeed Custom Tune ECU on 93 octane with pops and bangs. Definitely worth it!

For 3.8 Genesis 2015, will a TCU tune make all upshifts and all downshifts smooth especially 2-3,3-4 and 4-5 shifts that are currently rough and want the shifts smooth and at 1.5 or 1.75 to 2 k RPM upshifts shift points for low gears? Is that stage 1 or 2?

If anything the shifts will feel rougher as they firm up and become faster

If your oem ecu is tuned for 93 octane and happen to travel to another state with only 91 available, can you still pump 91 and keep the rpms lower for no detonation? If so, what's the max rpm you can safely rev to on 91, if you're tuned for 93? Would you say 5-6k rpm instead of 7k?...or depends on the car?

Worst case and you HAVE to do that, you should not use more than 30-40% throttle input

I'm very interested in getting my bk2 3.8 tune, only mods i have are manifold riser, ark dp, test pipes, and sri. Was told i would need an afr gauge if i wanted a custom tune and would only gain 4-5whp vs canned tuned. Will i feel a noticeable difference with just a canned tune? Tranny is manual

Canned tunes produce significant gains and are definitely worth trying out

TCU tunes your transmission, ECU tunes your Engine :)
