For a spring tool I used a 3/4" by 1/8" by 18" long piece of steel I had laying around and drilled a hole right near the end along the edge and one on the bottom end of it to look similar to the tool you have there! Didn't know they made them, granted I lived in North Pole AK at the time and options are limited. Mine works good on the exhaust as it's a little bendy to fit around the can on my old summit x 600 etec.

i have a 2016 rev xp chassis and according to the title this video is suppose to show me how to remove the hood but it doesnt. you should have specified which chassis in the title.

You are right, nice catch. We did re install the air boot, but apparently it never made it into the video. This often is an overlooked step when re installing the hood but it's certainly critical to the survival of your motor. Thanks for the heads up, we'll have to revise this video.

Unfortunately, I had to drill out the factory rivets and replace with the plastic autobody rivets.

they don't want you to work on your own sled...they want you to bring it to the dealer so them hacks can work on it and charge you a fortune. Don't buy into it....learn the sled...work on it yourself...f**k skidoo

So you wanna check your coolant/oil maybe spark plugs. I’d need 2 guys special torx tools remove gauges and pretty much a fucking degree on how to remove a fuckin hood on a Skidoo. Come on Skidoo, make this simpler. Wow

You guys did a really shitty job describing how to get it back on. Been fighting with mine over an hour because when I have the two front clips in, there’s a 1” gap between the brackets that need screwed together.
