I just saw your comment in Jun 2024. My 2014 ATS driver's side head lamp bulb burned out and need replacing. I got quotes from verious shops to replace the bulb, with $300 to $500 quotes. I suck ate mechanic work but think I can do this. I bought a bulb at AutoZone. But, I don't have any tools. What tools would you recommend I should buy to do the bulb replacement? Thanks.

@jamesogletree5257 The only tool I had to buy was a flexible extension for the screwdriver because the angle was pretty weird. "Luckily" because of covid I had some latex gloves which I HIGHLY recommend because you don't want to accidentally touch the bulb but it's a tight squeeze getting in there and you'll want to still be able to feel around. I did it in about 50 minutes but did the 2nd one much faster. Getting the cover to screw back into place was the hardest part because you're doing it completely blind. Definitely worth the trouble though. I watched a video on swapping out the infotainment touchscreen, too since my confidence was riding high! LOL

Man you saved me $400+ per light. Got up at 4 am for work with both headlights out( one was already out) shopped around and everyone was talking about removing the bumper. Find your video, my wife and replaced both in auto zone parking lot in an hour...45 minutes on the first one lol.. second one was easy. Thank you brother!!

Thanks for this video. Cadillac dealer quoted me $716 for standard bulb replacement and $1108 for HID. That’s just for one bulb replacement. They said they need to remove the entire bumper for this and it’s labor intensive. Spent about $35 for the bulb and replaced it myself. You saved me a ton of $$$ Thanks again!

Soo I looked up this video last night and planned on doing it myself but out of curiosity, I called my local dealership. For ONE bulb, they wanted to charge me $700. When I told them I would pass (I was very nice btw), they got snarky and told me good luck getting it done elsewhere because you have to take apart the whole front end. They got real quiet when I told them I watched you do it in under 30 minutes.😂

Thanks for making this video. I had a different LED bulb and I fought with the back covers so much that I ended taking the wheels off to get more elbow room. My LED barely fit with the cover. It was a good opportunity to clean the rim anyway.

Thanks for posting! I was afraid my daughters ATS was going to be a "piece of work" like my CTS had been when I changed those bulbs out...I didn't want to remove the tire, so off came the front clip...ugh. Your headlights beams look awesome and not too painful for other oncoming drivers. I'm going to look for the same bulbs you bought, as there are a bazillion varieties on eBay to look through. ( I don't know why the tail length on the connector...it just adds to the bulk to tuck into the caps, and there is hardly room as you found out.).

Thanks for the feedback! The swap wasn’t too bad at all despite the lack of room with the tire on the car. For me, the difficult part was indeed finding a way to tuck the new bulbs wires in the dust cap. I’ve heard of some people just removing them in general, but I’d assume they’re on it for a reason. The output of the new lights are just perfect. Brighter than factory but not annoying bright for others and doesn’t have that “aftermarket” look to them. This far they’ve been working great! Hope the replacement goes well for you 👍

Someone probably replaced them before and instead of fighting with getting the caps back on they left them off

One question/concern … LED bulbs get hot, very hot, putting that plastic protective cap back over the bulb to me kind of creates a small sort of “convection oven“ all of these bulbs have a little fan that helps keep them cool but yet no air can get in because of the cap

I've actually wondered the same thing myself. Not sure how it works but the entire time I've had them, I've never had any issues. Never even felt hotter than normal

Broo?? Can u help me i need to replace coolant temp sensor. How many sensor are in the car? It says engine temp high cutting off ac and it wont go up on the temp gauge it stays on cold and smells burnt

zay_servinn Hey wassup bro. That sensor is a pain to get to. I believe it’s located on the back of the engine closest to the firewall. Might have to remove the engine intake to get to it easier but it’s in a horrible location

I bought the LEDs with the ballast and the instructions screwed me when it said drill a hole through the cover to run the wire which I did but the fan was so big the cover couldn't fit so I have no covers on mine.

Yea all the ones I saw required drilling or modifications of some sort and I wanted to avoid that at all cost lol I really like these cuz they have great output and no need for extra modifications. Not gonna lie tho I was scared about 40 dollar light bulbs but these get a thumbs up from me 👍

@@S.0.G _FYI, My 2013 kept having electrical issues, I bought the car used, turned out the previous owner added bulbs with ballast and all these modifications. Once those were removed after much gremlin chasing. my caddy is working fine. avoiding the extra mods and ballast. These bulbs that GOD.isLove installed are great.

The headlight dust cap? That was a pain honestly but there’s a certain angle you gotta get it on. One side was easier than the other tho so I think it had to do with the way the wires from the bulb settled in the housing

Some 2013 ATS do have Xenon (HID) Headlamps ! It was an option much like a radio or the interior LED lighting .

Amoney31 A plus It is a little tough at first. Just make sure all the little screws are off before you pull at it. I started by peeling the edges off the actual body of the car before I pulled it back
