Hey great win there!! I was cheering you on all the way! I live in an area with a lot of lakes..we need to do that here...and to those commenting on "its not a pro class" or whatever...screw them! A win is a win whatever class it is! Stay on the gas!!

Great riding, badass quad it sounds so dirty. And regardless what anyone says, ovals are just as tricky as, for a lack of a better term, road courses simply because yes they are in concept easy being that you only have two corners to memorize. The thing though with only having two corners there are very little places to make up time, with a road course typically if it's a battle for a position between 2 ppl each has an advantage in certain portions of the track and can be used to pass the other rider. Now on ovals with only 2 acceleration points and 2 braking points per lap which are places the majority of time is made up and passes are made it is very difficult to make up for a bad start. also since they appear to be so easy, riders tend to lose concentration and overshoot corners or powerslide too hard and lose the ass.

whats the setups on these quad for ice tires? I'm thinking about going with chen sin c826 18" for the rears, then idk for the fronts? is that a common setup for the rear in these races? what do you recommend? idk if I should go 18" or 20"

i'm running kenda kutter mx on front but they are a little soft because the orange writing on the sidewall is a soft compound and the pro gold studs come lose a little. a lot of guys run holeshot mx with orange and yellow decals or maxxis mx with orange and yellow decals which is a medium compound and holds screws better. on the back I always use chengshin ice. in this race I was running my 20 inch for better traction but my 18 inch a alot lighter and rev quicker

I hate reading comments on these videos because everyone has to say what their setup is. And btw holeshot tires are so much better than kenda tires.

On my 125 cc when I'm ice racing in a circle I floor it all the time I crash a lot but I find that I'm so far ahead from racing so hard that I only lose 3 spots and I only crash every 50 laps out of 150 but I use so much gas from drifting at going at near 30 mph when every one is going playing it safe until the end and I blow the race away I get 47 sec laps at a 0.25 mile track and lap every race I use 10 gallons of gas that's two pits my tires wear I tiny bit more but I can take a brake to go pee during pits and I'll still be in front
@paultabet468010 жыл бұрын
is it me or he dosent use the clutch?
@Codyrosa10 жыл бұрын
Nope he doesn't use the clutch. You only NEED the clutch on takeoff but nothing else. Its better to use it but a lot of racers dont. To much time =)
@paultabet468010 жыл бұрын
ohhh so im gonna get a hondatrx400.... i dont need to use the clutch? like.... its so weird
@Codyrosa10 жыл бұрын
I have a 440ex which is what your getting. Nope you dont need the clutch. Only on takeoff otherwise it kills.
@paultabet468010 жыл бұрын
wooww ok thx dude
@Codyrosa10 жыл бұрын
Yea no problem. Just remember its always better to use it though. You could probably go years without using it and without having issues.
