2013 BMW F30 318d Part 16 - Front brake discs & pads.

Since Tom got the car back after the previous video, he said that there was a judder in the front brakes. I knew that this meant the front discs were warped so the decision was made to get the front discs & pads replaced. I got one side done but when it came to doing the other side, 3 of the wheel bolts were fighting me. I managed to get one out with a bolt extractor but I had to get a garage to get the other 2 out. Once I got the wheel off the rest of the job went without any problems (aside from me getting the order of operations wrong). I ended up replacing the wheel bolts with ones I bought on Amazon.

As with any car I happen to work on, I can only do the jobs that actually need doing. I did change the transmission fluid on the Volvo XC90 a couple of years ago.

Hi Mate, nice work ! What is the size of the front brake discs? Are they 312 or 300mm? Or do you have the part number. Cheers

This car has the M Sport trim so it has the bigger discs. Most reuptable motor factors will be able to supply the correct discs for your particular car. According to RealOEM, it lists 34116792223 & 34106797602 as the BMW part numbers for the front discs.
