I've seen people do that at car shows. Put build pics and stuff in the back for people to look at. And use a prop rod to hold the hatch open for however many hours. Takes the stress off of the gas struts, or if the struts are bad.

Red Corvette's are kind of over done. I think it's the most common color. A nice shade of blue would be different on a Corvette. But admittedly, the Goonz have a lot of blue cars.

Keep the red calipers with the paint, hide a little more red accents into it, like do the inside of the grill red and the outside white, albeit that's a lot of taping that would be needed. Check your state laws on rebuilding cars, some states are easier than others. But most of the time they’ll have a certain set of requirements. Just remember to have all the receipts for parts, one of the more important things.
