+Ian Mahaffey a flam is when you play two notes, at the same time, but you don't hit the drum at the same time. one of the notes is accented too.

+Ian Mahaffey basically you play a grace note before an actual note. Try saying 'flam' accenting the syllables. So you'd have fl-am. That's basically what it sounds like but super slow.

I wasn't saying we are are as good as them, because I cannot even play their entire show let alone play it clean. But I can guarantee our level of cleanliness is just under if not right with their level because my Instructor worked with Paul Rennick in one of his high drum trophy years at Phantom (2006). It seems logical, that yes, they would be better, but usually for some reason it never works that way for anyone. I would not be surprised if cadets did not win next year. I hope they do though.

that happens commonly in good drumlines. It doesnt mean you can compare that to these world champions. Their book is also extremely hard and at a level of clean that sounds distinctly different than the one you are describing. I applaud your drumline though for being that clean!
