I got the 2012 200 touring and my horn just stopped working randomly today.. looking at yet another issue that requires so much extra work turns me off from a future Chrysler car 🤦🏾‍♂️.. changing the headlights alone is already a pain but not hard to learn and do

I love my car but I will never buy a 200 again. I have never had an issue with the horns just randomly going off in any other car but in my 2014 Chrysler 200, it just randomly started doing it one day and has not stopped. I hate it so much 😩 Hopefully with your video guidance, I can figure the issue out without having to put it in the shop. I see other people have had the same issue with this car too. Smh 😩😩

@@CarlosHernandez-gz4jq unfortunately, the one thing I was hoping it wasn't, turned out to be the issue. The total intergraded power module was going out. I had to change it because my car was beginning to stall out.

Talk about embarrassing 🤦🏾‍♀️ I'm sorry to hear that you're having the same issue. My car runs a lot better now that I changed it but I reaaaaaaally didn't want to spend the money.

We all having the same problems with our Chryslers smh. My horn also started going off randomly while driving. Got people looking at me all crazy lol

To be sure it's your clock spring do this: While the car is running, turn your steering all the way left and all the way right repeatedly while pressing down on your horn. If your horn sounds at any point....you know its the clock spring. If your steering wheel controls don't work, do this same process while pressing the steering wheel control buttons. If any of them suddenly starts working at any point.....you know it's your clock spring.

This just happened for me, my horn recently stopped working and I’m glad I came across this. I was turning the wheel while holding the horn down and it was working. So does that mean I need a new clock spring? Because the buttons and the steering wheel also aren’t working either.

@@felixsnider9996 Yup. The horn and steering wheel controls are all tied to the lock spring. Also the air bag.

@@danielmoore1668 what my husband ended up doing is disconnecting the horns for now until we figure out what to do. Our Chrysler has 211,000 miles and I feel like it’s given us all it has . :( We just changed the battery and now it’s loosing power and turning off on me.

Mines started today randomly out of no where and scared the freak out of me lol At first it didn't allow the horn to go off when I locked the car with the keypad it was completely silent and I was almost to the door and the horn started blowing sooooo loud...

Ok the key fob doesn't make the horn work either , I'm getting 2.8 volt at the steering wheel and the same at the horns when switch is depressed

Can I hook up a new horn and switch to run the horn...why I am saying this because my horns are burned out clock Spring is busted. SO IF I WIRE UP THOUGH THE BOTTOM OF THE FUSE CASE... UNDER THE RELAYS BOX WOULD MY HORN WORK FOR ME LIKE THAT....WIRE to Box with a new horn and New button switch to work the Horn

There are two horns on that car. It is very unlikely, almost impossible that both horns fail at the same time. It would be either the clock spring or the command module inside the fuse box in my opinion.

@@d.jde-mand8897 I just figured mine out last night, after getting two different sets of horns from the junk yard first set still honked randomly, took the tipm apart cleaned everything, well come to find out the wire connector that hooks to the horn were loose and didnt fully clip to the horn. Tightened those and now so far no honking

I'm scared I'm gonna end up shot seriously bc it's not me and people don't know it's not me doing it. How can I disconnect the horn so it has no power to it at all as if I have no horns at all? @@1kFades Yes I did but you won't believe me when I tell you this. I took it to the Chrysler dealership and they said the reason for it was because a module in the steering had gone bad. They charged me $2500 to replace this.

Thanks horn goes off ramdomly. No fuse so pulling does wires from the horn.
