Great review, as always Redline! I've Been in an RT Plus Shaker 6 speed for a few years now. The Bilstein Suspension and Brembos do make it much better handling than the models of old, or without the Performance Handling Group. It is what it's supposed to be, raw street muscle.... I would recommend the 5.7 or bigger for the muscle experience and theatre....

Excellent review. I bought a 2019 Challenger GT and the Pentastar engine is pretty peppy and has a nice exhaust note. My 0-60 time was 6.3 seconds. It's not going to beat Mustang Ecoboots, Camaro''s with the V-6 engine or a number of import cars but I bought it for the spacious trunk and interior plus of course it's retro styling.

Nice review. I have a 2019 SXT, and that eight speed transmission, especially in sports mode, is just amazing. Dodge says 0 to 60 is now down to 6.2 seconds on average with the V6 and I concur. I would like to see you review a new model SXT to hear your thoughts, especially when you were asking for the 8 speed auto in this car back in 2014 with this review. The interior design is much better, also!

If you want a comfortable cruiser or just daily drive in comfort, then this is the car for you. If you want to go fast while being comfortable, there are the V8 options. But unless you haul a bunch of stuff around or drive normally, the 6 is more than enough for you. ESPECIALLY the 2015+ models.

I dont know why people hate on the 3.5 I've beaten 2011 and newer of SXT and even RTs in my "little V6". People need to realize its not all about the car, big portion is credited to the driver as well. Not to mention im getting here twin turboed this summer.

Good vehicle, just needs a lot of updating. I wish it came with a manual. My biggest complaint is the interior. It does really look 10 years old. I always thought these challengers were really good looking. If I had the choice I would defiantly chose a charger over this just because of the nice interior, and quicker v8 and I think you can get a manual with the charger although I could be wrong

This car does come with a manual, the Charger does not. The interior is finally getting an update next year on all models. Actually 2015 models will be out this summer and they may be doing a few things to the exterior. Reason being is they are releasing an new model known as the HELLCAT that will have a new Supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 with upwards of 640 hp!! Dodge isn't sure what it will exactly put out but they said upwards of the 640 that the Viper's V10 puts out. It's going to compete with the Shelby GT500 and Camaro ZL1 and it sounds pretty awesome if you ask me. Also, the Charger does not have a quicker V8, they share the same V8s. the 5.7L in the R/T and the 6.4L, also known as the 392 in the SRT8.

the 3.5 actually was underrated since Chrysler bumped up the compression ratio and changed the block to aluminium in the early 2000s. sounds so much better than the pentastar too.

Idk why you did a review on a V6 with trim, you shouldve done at least one of the V8 trims. I want to buy the 6.4 V8 SRT 392 to go to fast, do it loud, and smile while everyone stares at me. Except the Mustang will kill this thing in every aspect and most importantly handling. This is just a showy car with an available big motor. Even the SRTs are boats according to owners and these Challengers have a huge problem with structural rigidity, people are coming out in the morning finding weird dents on their cars because the panels are literally imploding on themselves. 8 speed autos maybe good for 0-60 times but not in everyday use. I have driven both 8 speeds and CVT's and the 8 speed was really bad,it also hunted for gears and was very annoying to drive with!

That's kind of a foolish statement because an 8 speed can be a 5 speed, but a 5 speed can't be an 8 speed. In modern day's transmissions, anything after 4th gear is typically just fuel saver gears anyway, so why not be able to have fun AND get decent salvageable MPGs?

Nice car and review, but I'm not a fan of chrome rims. They should have gone with aluminum finish or something less flashy. Also anything over 19 inches looks to big. Boys will get wet over a v8 just because it's a v8--even if it only has enough power to pull a brick. It would be reasonable to to say that a v6 is pointless in a muscle car back in the stone ages of Mustangs and Camaros. But in this age, where an 8-speed automatic beats a manual, where a 6-cylinder puts out more horsepower than v8's in previous-generation cars, there is really no leeway to say the same shit as every other v8 dick-rider.
