You're not a dealer mechanic having to repeatedly replace cracked heads and blown head gaskets in that FIAT V6 engine. And really, this white Charger reminds me a whole lot too much of my '03 Intrepid. Same profile and the rear end is really similar. This vehicle is NOT in the same market segment as the Toyota Avalon - Toyota's stepping stone to Lexus.

Maserati Ghibli 3.6 uses a modified Dodge pentastar 3.6, the same engine used in the Dodge Charger , 300, Challenger. Adding a Turbo increases its top speed to 176 mph, yet the engine can still return over 30 mpg. I love really smart engineering. Add a Turbo or a Supercharger and the dodge 3.6 puts out over 450 hp yet still retains 30+ mpg, I like to drive cars not listen to them, if i want music I turn the radio on, Micheal your a Idiot still thinking that cubic inch Horse power is king ...its not

Hi Shelby, yes, it's a great first car because you get the strong engine with the practicality of the charger being a commuter car. Great space as well. I have lots of friends who drive it on a daily basis on they are very happy.

I picked up a 2013 charger SE model a little over a week ago. Man what a nice comfortable ride. It is heavy, but like he said the 3.6 has some get up and go. If your in the market, do yourself a favor and just go test drive one.

the motor they put in this thing, with some mods, can pretty much leave any other car in its class in the dirt. The state i live in uses the same model for their poice cruisers. And i have to say, do NOT under estimate this. This engine is in the same realm if not above the 3800 (3.8) V6. It sounds great when you lay into it, when you are puttin around town it has an ECO mode. Which is nice. Because lets face it, at a dead stop 2 tons is a lot of car for a 6 cylinder.

My aunt has this car with the 8AT and the big screen in the center console. Its a nice car, especially compared to the last gen.. however one thing: I dont find the dashboard to be soft-touch, but does have a nice graining.

Funny you say that, I'm tempted to go from a mustang to a charger. My biggest gripes though are if and when I gotta replace the alternator and the battery. Stinkin Mopar puts the battery behind the passenger side or driver's side tire. And it's really annoying when you need to jump start them and can't get a solid connection to direct battery contact.

My dad had a Dodge Charger SE has a rental car don,t know if it was a 2011 or a 2012 he rent it back in March when my dad old 2009 Audi A5 when in the body shop the week before he got his new 2012 Audi A6 he did not enjoy it very much we it drove very well but he did not like the inside he said it look like that things were falling apart in the inside

I have a 2012 Charger SE.... it has the 3.6 liter V6 with the 8 speed automatic transmission..... Well as we all know... MPG for any vehicle is going to vary of course depending on who's driving and the conditions. That being said... i believe more times than not i'm averaging roughly 22-25 mpg overall (city/hwy combined)... of course i'm definitely one to gun it from time to time....i will say this though.... on the highway at a conservative 60-65mph.... i've actually had the car running at about 38MPG.... which is really nice on long trips...(my wife drove it from Virginia to Kansas when we moved and having to follow me in the moving truck.... she was restricted to going only as fast as i was which was roughly 65mph on average) Of course the terrain will obviously play a major factor...(we didnt get 38mpg going through the mountains and such).. but on relatively flat highway stretches... the charger can most certainly hit at least 35mpg easily and providing the conditions are right can get high 30's for mpg.... hope that helps a little.

Well the Base Charger the interior quality is not good but the higher trims the RT and SRT8 the interior quality is very good well my dad test drove 2 Chrysler 300,s a V6 Limted with the 8 speed the dealer that he went to first were out of the V8,s then we went to a other dealer to test drive the V8 he drove the S not the SRT but the S with the 5 speed both of those were good he enjoy driveing them
