I remember looking up at the camera rig... it looks pretty sophisticated! You crossed the bow of my boat around 1:36 (the 12.5' AMF Puffer 'Discovery'). Of course, for the rest of the day, I had Judas Priests' "Electric Eye" playing in my head....!

Simon, this was very good, I was surprsed at how stable the camera angle was. if you get time would be nice to see more about your camera kite rig setup. thanks for sharing.

LOL Simon... I was going for the 'spy in the sky' bit with Electric Eye! My mental heavy metal soundtrack for my offshore blast past Anna Maria, in through Longboat Pass, and down Sarasota Bay was Hell Bent For Leather (Judas Priest), In It For Life and 24/7 by Sister Sin, and Raise Your Fist In The Air by Doro Pesch. Now THAT soundtrack would have been good for at least 40 knots!!!

Our boat, paddled by my son and I, is the long triple kayak just left of the red kayak sort of center of frame at about 2:33. It's SEDA Kayak's 'Triumph', the first kayak to finish this event.
