Where is the turbo boost solenoid located, I have this engine but can't find it

I have a 13 sel edge. Have everything loss. But I cant get second section of breather tube out from under windshield, I do not have that bar you talked about that has to be lossened up. And I can not get that hose out. Help. Thanks

You may need to snake it out from the bottom side. Sorry, I’m not familiar with the escape and I’m not a mechanic. Best of luck!

I'm trying to replace the boost sensor on my 2013 Ford Escape Titanium. It is throwing code P0236. Any guidance for me?

After looking into it online, I recommend finding a good mechanic to diagnose the real problem. It could be your sensor but the sensor might actually be reading properly which means that something else is wrong. Perhaps a bad wastegate on the turbo, bad seal on the manifold (gasket) causing an air leak, who knows. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Do your due diligence when looking for a good mechanic. Ask friends, coworkers, and family. Also, look at online reviews. Wish I could be of more help.

One other thing that you may want to do is register with Ford.com and add your vehicle info. Sometimes there are recalls that haven't been addressed by previous owners, etc. This could possibly be a recall issue. You never know. You can also search online for recalls on your vehicle Year/Make/Model. I once had a gas leak on the Explorer and, on a hunch, did a search for recalls. Sure enough there was a recall on the fuel sending unit which was replaced by a local dealer at no charge. Best of luck!

It took me and my buddy about 3 to 4 hours... without any guidance. It should be a little faster for you. I recommend using ramps if you got them rather than a jack and jack stands. You'll get much more room underneath. Good luck! Let me know how it goes.

Hi Gary. In this video, starting at :50, you lift a clip as the hose is removed. That clip on my vehicle is CRACKED. It needs to be replaced. Is this possible to replace / repair or deal with this??? I can send a picture if necessary.

I'm guessing that you can replace the broken clip. I saw some online at Autozone. I'm sure you'll at least have to get the right size. Gary Sanchez thank you for the reply. I should have mentioned that the plastic cracked both on the part attached to the hose, as well as the other end coming into it (from the car to that first section of tubing removed).

Gary Sanchez one more question. FYI your video is by FAR the best (one of the only) on this subject. Thank you. ! Question - others talk about the wastegate being ‘stuck’. Is it possible to replace that only, without removal of the entire turbo unit ?

@@darylbrowdy4818 The short answer is no. You'd still have to remove the turbo and send it off to get rebuilt/ replace the waste gate.

@@darylbrowdy4818 You may just have to replace the entire hose so it comes with the plastic connectors and clips. Fordparts.com has schematics with past numbers numbers for all of those.

What symptoms where you having for a bad turbo

Check engine light came on for a while, error code P2099 for turbo underboost. It still ran fine but no real slow on the take off and accelerating. See Part 1 of 7 vid.
