2013 Fiat 500 Clutch Master cylinder.

A couple of days ago my clutch pedal went all the way to the floor and stayed there. I was in the middle of a busy street and had to push the car safely off the road and get a tow back to the house. After doing some research I determined the problem was either a bad clutch master cylinder (clutch actuator) or a clutch slave cylinder. Since I wasn't sure I decided to replace both. I had to order the slave cylinder from Chrysler since no auto parts stores had the part and I got the master cylinder from Orielly Auto Parts. All parts including brake fluid cost approximately $300 US dollars. I did find some videos that showed the slave cylinder replacement, but I was unable to located any showing the master cylinder. Unfortunately, I didn't film the actual work done I thought I would make a short video at least explaining how I replaced the master cylinder. I am in no way shape or form an auto mechanic but maybe this video will help at least get you started if you ever encounter this issue and need to replace the master cylinder.

Thank you..I needed this vid! I can't get my t30 bit w 1/4" socket to fit. No room. 2 hrs of twisting my body getting cramps, cussing. Still not off. I'm about to cut plastic protecting the fuses to get couple more inches of room to maneuver 2 fingers 🤬.

I just barely got mine to fit. I'm out of town right now but when I get home next month, I'll get a video getting the bit in there.

@@MichaelGiarnieri I got it. Wasn't that bad after i restarted next day. Took off fuse cover. That helped immensely. Ty very much again. Ur video was only one I could find doing this job on US style fiat 500. 🤝

how do you remove the master cylinder from the pedal ?is it held on with a clip ?
