2013 French Armed Forces Emergency Food Ration Survival MRE Review Meal Ready to Eat Taste Test

One of the nights before Christmas, and all through the house, Not a server was on, or screen, keyboard, or mouse. So I made up my mind to check the youtubes, Revisit my subs, and check out the newbs. When what in my notifications should appear, But 'three' new MRE videos, I cheer! They were all from Steve1989, The one whose cool reviews we search for and pine. I clicked play but once, then twice, and once again, I've been waiting for these since I don't know when. I watched him unbox and unwrap and unseal, Each vintage snack and survival meal. The coffee and cocoa he'd mix in one cup, A military mocha that he'd drink right up. Some food was too dry, and it made him think, "I'd better take a swig of that isotonic drink. " Other foods were spoiled, and looked kind of old. They smelled very rotten, and were covered in mold. They might've set off a bio hazard siren, But Steve soldiered on, with his stomach of iron. He said it quite boldly, without thinking twice, "Let's get this out onto a tray,"…… "Nice." So I gazed at each vid, while munching on snacks. Amazed there were three, uploaded back to back. And so I bid you Good viewing this holiday season. We're hooked on these vids man, and Steve is the reason.

I have medical problems that make me sick to my stomach often. I can say that any kind of mint helps ease the feeling, and if I am close to vomiting, peppermint helps A LOT. Perhaps the mint drink is designed with hunger nausea in mind.

I remember testing these with the Belgian army reserves during a joint excersize in 2009 or 2010 and the sentiment I got was while there were high points to this ration (like you mentioned), it was generally disliked, so it's quite surprising these actually got issued.

Another great review of a very interesting ration. It's amazing the variety of rations out there. Keep up the great reviews! Another thing, today I had a side of apple slices with spiced sauce and a packet of vanilla pudding powder. I put about 3/4 of the pudding inside the retort pouch with the apples, mixed it well, let it sit for a few minutes, then enjoyed an apple custard dessert. Really tasty. Have you heard of anyone doing this? Merry Christmas to you and yours and the MRE community!

I admit, I was getting worried there for a second but 3 in one day, old, older and oldest! You really seem to love doing these videos and at almost 1/2 mill subs, it shows. I originally found you when I was binge watching Townsends 18 century cooking. One of your vids popped up as a suggestion and I was hooked. It's been over a year now and I SMASH that like button every time! It's funny I got this ration issued in 2011. Exact same content but there was an addition: an emergency rehydration powder packet. This one is a later issue, but doesn't have it. Strange.
