Should really be helpful for dad working. Those Carbine 140 lights are really bright. Brighter than I even thought they would be.

Came out great! Nice and clean. They make a 12v wireless controller that makes wiring pretty slick , saves running through the firewall for switches. Love that rack !

I really thought about a wireless switch but dad is pretty old school. He likes a regular switch to turn on and see it's on. Those DEE ZEE racks are nice.

@@mossman381 exactly. That's the only downside of the wireless controllers, is they dont show an indicator light as to what is on or off. ❄🎄❄🎄❄

The plow has seen better days. Probably won't be doing a great job painting it. Just a quicky job so it looks decent. If it still works good we might look for a replacement blade for it.

That is super cool, I was thinking about getting some carbine lights but I’m not sure what I would use them for.

Those Carbine 140 lights are brighter than I thought they would be. My camera doesn't do the best at night but they are even brighter in person. Really nice spot beam and then with the side LEDs you get good flood light too. You pay more for them than the cheap pods online but they are a way better light.

I found a better deal on a different truck I’m going to order some hide a way strobes for the reverse lights and some z3s for the front grill and rear bumper

If I had a newer truck I would do the hide a way strobes too. Those z3s will work perfect for the grille.

That turned out really awesome I really like that headache rack and how you mounted the pod lights definitely gives off great like to each side of the truck and that K force micro looks really awesome up there. Also I'm sure you're going to probably repaint the Western snowplow before you put it on your dad's truck that will make that flower look really good with that truck I'm excited to see how that turns out

Slowly getting this done. Every time I try to install stuff something goes wrong. Installing the Western truck side mounts and had to modify a hole to get them to work. One thing after the other slowing me down.

I want to see the plow work before cleaning it up. It has sat for years now. I don't want to put a bunch of work into it and then it not run. I am pretty sure it will work but I want to make sure. It has a bunch of new parts on it.

I have never plowed with a compact truck. I started with a 1500 full size. I would love to get a plow for one of my Rangers. I think it would be fun.

When you installed the z-3 strobes did you only have to hook up the red and blue wires up?

You only need positive and ground for them to work. Unless you want to sync them up or use them for a steady burn. I think these only sync up with a slow flash. I didn't like that.

There is an extra wire to run another light with the aux button on the main controller.

Are those lights legal for any private car?

I guess that depends on where you are. Flashing amber lights are common on plow/work trucks in Wisconsin. You can't have red or blue unless you want to get in trouble. I am not sure you can have flashing white lights here in Wisconsin. So you really need to check your local laws. I think on the east coast the use green flashing lights for non emergency lights.
