Great video, big help. Thanks again--thumbs up. But something I should mention is that it's very important to keep your window in the track before attaching it to the regulator! I had to loosen the window again just to re-track it then connect it back. And then I realized the initial reason for my first regulator folding was that the tracks had wiggled loose of the door!

Just take your time and I would advise to wear some clothes you dont care about. That black sealant can be removed quickly if you have some WD-40 on hand, but I have had it ruin a shirt before.

@@FiveFiveGarage my one issue is that the clips for the window from the oem broke(this was my issue) and they were incredibly hard to remove. I think I need to epoxy the clips to the window, but getting both screws through the clips to the regulator seems difficult once in the assembly.
@FiveFiveGarage2 жыл бұрын
You have to lower the window a little and then both become accessible.

What type of glue did you use for the widow clips to the glass? AND What position was the regulator when you "counted the teeth" ? (did you just eyeball it level)
@FiveFiveGarage2 жыл бұрын
For the adhesive I used 3M window adhesive (the type used when installing auto glass) I have also heard of using 3M 5200 marine adhesive. Whatever you use make sure its fully cured before you use the window (about a day or two). As for the teeth it was either 12 or 14 per side. You can mark the regulator with a Sharpie and then move it manually to figure it out for sure.

Hello, I noticed you had one of the clips attached to the window and glued, and the other clip was attached to the regulator, did you end up glueing that one on to the window when you installed it or was the window just sitting on it without any glue?

I added adhesive, didn't make it into the video.

what if my window doesn’t go down?

Is everything plugged in and lined up?
@KayLid4 жыл бұрын
yes I got the entire window out now it was completely off the clip and the regulator was twisted like a pretzel, after I’ve done this though I can’t remove the broken clip. it’s bonded with a rubbery black glue to the window. is this normal? how can i get it off?
@FiveFiveGarage4 жыл бұрын
Heat. Use a heat gun to slowly warm it up, the adhesive will soften and you will be able to pull it off.

Your supposed to disconnect the negative side on the battery too before you start everything. I think that a very small but important step

I prefer to follow step by step instead of listening because it is too long! Why dont you just do it step by step instead of talking ? It will be faster and easy. Sorry about my English.

I do it this way, so that the people watching can get all the information that is going through my head as I am doing it. Step by step is easier, sure. But when its comes to the reasons why I am doing something or why it is necessary to do it a certain way, I prefer to give that information to the viewer rather than forcing them to find the answer elsewhere.
