This helped me fix my car thank you! Thanks for this I had the p1807. Actuator B. I ordered 2. First I switched them cleared coded and it worked. When parts came in I changed both. No relearn, I had my foot on the brake and went through the gear position. Then I did a mild test drive for 20 mins then longer. Important to run AC and head lights.

Velosters dont like semi high water either, mine flashed the gear just like yours,it didnt shift right and i lost reverse gear,it fixed itself the next day because it dried out and had a dealer reprogram one of the clutch sensors

Hey I just bought a 2013 Hyundai Veloster, i’m having the same issue. Now I just got done trying it again, now when I put the car in drive, it goes into reverse. Did anything help?

So I went to a car dealership and was looking at buying a 2017 veloster, I took it for a test drive and when I went to give it some gas to get a feel for speed it was shifting 2nd gear at about 3000 rpm’s and it was having a delay in doing so. I just wanted to get some insight on if this is normal or if it has transmission issues

man i was going to buy a veloster but seeing too many issues, between bad engines and transmissions going bad even before 100,000 miles.

I would skip it...such a shame though since it's got great styling and a lot of premium interior options on the cheap. since this issue, I haven't had any issues but I'm not about to wait around and find out. Got a letter from Hyundai telling me that they'll replace the engine if it throws a rod. Currently trying to get up enough for a 6th Camaro LOL

I’m having the same issue. It was recommended that I check the transmission oil and change crankshaft position sensor and that should do the trick. This problem just started happening to my 2013 Veloster. Did you resolve this issue?

Hey Demetrie, The transmission shop I took it to says that they were able to fix it, saying it was that Clutch Actuator Motor that was circled in the picture. I will have to drive it around to see if the issue pops up again but I think it's gone. Veloster.org speaks of a similar issue where the crankshaft position sensor is an issue but there are distinct differences when comparing that issue to this one. At least with this one, the actuator that helps with gears 2, 4, 6 and R is intermittently failing, possibly being triggered by heat (my guess). The Crankshaft Position Sensor is related to your engine moreso, I believe. Good luck with everything and I hope this helps 👍

@@demetriekeme3928 Hey man, sorry to hear that. Are you still receiving the same engine code P1807? According to this video, there is a relearn process that the technician uses as well as using what appears to be a special measuring tool for adjusting the throw of the actuator prior to installation. kzbin.info/www/bejne/apnRhaKdi7eNrqM The job seemed a bit out of my wheelhouse so I ended up taking it to a specialist at my local Aamco. I know this sounds silly, but have you taken off the battery terminals to reset the ECU? Just wondering if that would force the ECU to acknowledge the new unit. The next thing I would try is cleaning the connector where the actuator plugs in with electronic contacts cleaner. While you're down there check the wires. The wires would be my practical guess if you have a good actuator motor but again, not sure if calibration comes into play. Good luck, bro! I hope you can fix her up.

@@brayanparra627 I replaced both clutch actuators and reprogrammed the the ECU. Works well now. Cost me roughly $1000usd

I’m having this same issue but my code is p0916 gear shift position sensor low . Is this the same code ? You had I haven’t lifted my car to see if the actuator is leaking . I was able to drive to my house in first being that I was less than a mile away . But now it won’t even go into gear . What it an expensive repair ?

Definitely a transmission sensor it seems but might be something else. I had a warranty on the car and ended up paying about 400 dollars at the end of the day. One thing that I learned is that most of these sensors on the DCT require a relearn process that only a technician can do. Wishing you the best man!

Yes, it solved the problem as soon as it was installed. I did have a technician do it however because after watching another video about it, it seems like there's a relearn process that they have to do to it. Out of my wheelhouse personally!

Sorry to hear that man. If it's the actuator, you will likely have issues shifting from 1st to 2nd as well. You may also get a blinking drive or reverse symbol when you start to drive. I would definitely confirm that your engine has this particular code if you are getting all these symptoms. Best of luck 🤞
