Nice review of a lovely car. Enjoyable to watch. One issue I would flag... At 01:00 you talk about a facelift in 2015. You are actually talking about the facelift in 2011, and uou nicely demonstrate the main features of the facelift later in an exterior walkaround. The 2015 XF was an entirely new model, with new materials (a lot more aluminium), new engines, new suspension, different exterior and interior etc.

Thank you for watching, yes, the front of the 2011 to 2015 year models had a face lift at the front streamlining the headlight somewhat, and the 2015 XF was indeed made with an alumni body, very slightly shorter in length, and provided as you say, a new selection of engines with a modified interior too. Once again, thank you for watching, and if you haven’t already, do remember subscribe and look out for more up and coming videos.

To any buyers. This particular engine 2.2 is bulletproof and the car is super reliable 👌

Would you recommend. I was looking at an Audi A6/A5 but this jag looks nicer and seems more prestigious

The Jaguar XF uses a lot more stitched leather and the finish (in my opinion) is a lot better than found in its equivalent size competitors.

2.2 is a DW12 engine? 163 189 and 200 bHP ? Which is the best ?
@flibbertigibbet6200 Жыл бұрын
@davidp3802 The engine is derived from a psa collaboration and was refined and tuned by Jaguar, it's a very smooth engine and quiet for 4 cylinder diesel. It has lots of torque but can suffer a bit from turbo lag under 1800 rpm a remap can see these units go to 240ish bhp and take away a lot of the lag. I have the 2015 r sport black edition and had it for 3+ yrs now and has been a fantastic drive. The 2.2 is a very reliable engine.

Looks lovely in white. Yes the 20” wheels look great. Having a black portfolio with nearly all the extras I realise I am spoilt. I have a pre-face lift 2010 which I prefer (I would say that), although I do stand by this statement,.. the lights at the front look more traditional Jag and the interior buttons are brushed chrome too which just feel more luxury than black plastic.

Thanks for your comment, yes, the brushed chrome buttons on the dash do look great on the previous model, I think one person giving a review previously thought that the rubber faced buttons on the 2011 to 2015 year models helped preventing your fingers from slipping off the buttons, but I’m not that sure. Your Premium Luxury model is a really wonderful car being loaded with all the extras, and looks very executive in black too. Thanks for watching, and don’t forget to subscribe too, there is going to be more to see on my channel which I’m sure you’ll enjoy watching.

I have a 2010 as well (low mileage Portfolio XFS - which is a real hoot to drive!) ... and I agree completely about the lights ... I didn't like them when they came out, but they've got better looking as time's gone on and now I think they look more Jaguar and I prefer them to the facelift lights (which seem a bit generic now). Whichever version you have though, they're all lovely cars

It doesn't sound very "Jaguarish" at idle. The V6 diesels sound lovely. Great review. Thanks.

Is the 2.2 engine a DW12 Same as Mondeo 2.2 and the transit van?
@rolyswheels2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching the video. The 2.2 diesel engine in the X type Jaguar is the same as in a transit van. It’s the PSA unit which is also used in the Peugeot 508 but reworked and is the 200bhp version in the car reviewed here.
