Parker, you just saved me some serious dough!!! My ignition coil in cylinder 1 went bad, so I searched KZbin and found your tutorial on plugs, so I changed them while I was under the hood. Thanks!!

Solid Video, shows the over all basics. It was not mentioned in the video, but what type of plugs did you replace the OEM with and did you have to GAP them?

I agree but the spark plug manufacturer recommends not using it as they are now using a crush washer and less torque specs are needed.

@@6atlantis that sounds like a cop-out, how about single piece plugs and anti-seize

BUT AT WHAT MILEAGE DO THEY NEED TO BE REPLACED ????
@parkerbengtzen6 жыл бұрын
Typically every 30,000 miles
@fedoratheexplora71805 жыл бұрын
Owners manual sais 120k miles as long as you use iridium plugs
@colinwilson45505 жыл бұрын
@@fedoratheexplora7180 I saw something online like 45, 90, 105...
@fedoratheexplora71805 жыл бұрын
Owners manual states 120k miles for the 2.4l gdi engine. Iridium plugs can last up to 200k miles so changing at 120k is actually overkill.

Well I have to agree he didn't use a torque ratchet to tighten down the spark plug theres a special type of rachet to tighten down the plugs!
@brycelund41124 жыл бұрын
Jordanis Laureano I would like you to find one mechanic that uses a torque wrench on spark plugs.
