2013 Kia Rio EX 1.6L GDI Replace Cooling Fan. Cooling fan fails. After testing for fan operation the fan and housing is replaced. Not an easy process. ‪@averageguysgarage‬

i remove the radiator fan from under. no need to remove the hose and everything from above. just remove the bumper and the engine mud guard below.

Was your connector a 2 or 3 prong I have a KIA Rio LX 2013 and cannot find a fan assembly for it with a 2 prong connector

It was a two prong. I had to go to several junkyards looking around until I found the one with two prong.

Do you know why their are two cooling fans on this car? And why one would work and one does not?

Most cars use 2 fans, one for the engine and one for the transmission. When the AC is off only one of them works, with AC on and normal temperature both should be on. This is the common behavior
