So I’m thinking of changing to a LR/RR. I see on forums about crank shaft issues with the 3.0L. May I ask is the issue as back as it’s made out? I love the look of the Disco 4 but would it be better to look at a Range Rover with the 3.6 or 4.4 engine. I have enough money to run and maintain one of these, but feel put off by the chance of an engine rebuild in the future. Please do not think I am being negative towards Landrover/ Range Rover. I just want some honest advice so I know what I’m getting into. Any info and advice greatly appreciated.

the problem with Range Rovers is that people who cant afford to run them and have them serviced properly buy them and then they are surprised when something goes wrong, we only buy cars with good service historys and have very few problems with them
