You’ve inspired my daughter to give her all to auto diagnostics, she loves u! I’ve been a mechanic for years and she’s always been somewhat interested but since watching u she’s basically lit up like a test light! Thanks for demonstrating your knowledge. Love your down to earth demeanor always great work

Oh my goodness!! I love that!! This comment made me light up! Tell your daughter "hi" 👋🏻 for me! To keep working towards her goals! Lucky she has a dad to look up to, answer questions and such. I was in the process of building small classes for woman or girls in my area, to be more proactive and comfortable with their vehicles. Small things, like changing a tire.. oil changes... checking fluids, and maybe more. Stupid rona has put a halt to so many of these type of projects. 😔 Thanks for the awesome comment which made my night!! 😊😁

Cuba how are you my friend. Wow interesting problem and fix. I had a great one 93 Corvette LT-1. Owner was ready to put in new fuel pump and injectors. Crank no start. Fuel pump and injector drop test were fine. So checked for spark. You got no spark. Found the coil burned out taking the ignition module with it.. I have got to start recording some of diagnostics.

New sub here. Nice to see a woman in the automotive field. Have a 13 year old daughter. Don't know what she's going to do, but I know, what ever it is, she'll improve on it!
@CubasAutomotive3 жыл бұрын
It's so difficult to get them to find something. I've had my daughter try it all, and/or apprentice every job that was safe enough for her to be involved in. I think it's important to try as much as possible hands on. They're (kids in general) often surprised about the experiences they have, even with something they 'thought didn't interest them. It takes doing things a few times, hands on! Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, electronics repair, appliance repair, mechanical whether automotive or otherwise (small equipment or recreational seems more engaging for the test drives after 😅😆), painting, putting furniture together, etc. It's quality time with the family while learning. Can't beat that. I appreciate the sub! Love to hear about your daughter's progress! Hope she discovers her niche early!!

9:50, this is the reason I dont do videos because I have too many people snooping around me. 😅

It's not so much the snooping... it's the interruption of my train of thought. Tangents or multiple questions. Even harder to get through while filming. Lol 😂🤣

Cuba! I have already seen this video in spanish and english! I am wondering: the door connector was doing a "positive short" between wires that kept 12 V in the wiring harness??? Difficult to spot the problem, i am not an english native speaker but I am trying my best. Thank you so much!
@CubasAutomotive3 жыл бұрын
Yes... I believe that is the case. However, in this case a "postive" short didn't blow a fuse or cook wires because the 1 circuit is hot normally with the Key On. So the side effect here was the car not going to sleep and keeping modules awake. ;) Muy bien!
@xaviergonzalez51453 жыл бұрын
@@CubasAutomotive how did you realize door connector was the culprit??? Or were you trying to disconnect every connector to see if 12 v disappear? Thank you Cuba!
@CubasAutomotive3 жыл бұрын
Using the process of elimination... I didn't have to disconnect every connector. I was trying to cut the problem in half. I just happen to win when I got to the door. THAT was the issue. If you look on the schematics, there were a TON of modules on that 1 circuit. Possibly up to 30 different things. So my thought was to cut that amount into half if possible, then half again... if I can express myself well enough?

Rather than apologize for the issues, its best to just EDIT that stuff out, many people watching car repair videos don't want to listen to all the chatter, they want straight and to the point which is what your video was supposed to be since you already found the problem and was trying to explain it to us, YOU and not your friend. It would have been nice to get a better understanding with the wire diagrams showing what circuits were being shorted out at the door jam. Again, try to make less personal comments such as need to change to Spanish, if we dont see it, we dont need to hear it. If you look lately at some of the larger KZbin providers, they are taking some of their old LONG videos and cutting them down to size, removing all the useless talk and getting paid for the TO THE POINT videos that people like to watch better. Thank you for the partial case study.
