@CubasAutomotive9 күн бұрын
@@MrJordonford your best bet is to get it from the dealer. Aftermarket parts like Dorman are such junk. It stinks to pay for a part, go through all the trouble & have it break on you within a few days. You can shop around dealers online, prices definitely vary depending on area & demographic. Hope that helps. 😊

super helpful, ty Cuba. Like your style, and your technique to insert helpful text to clarify issues @ that spot. Happens I have a 2009 Kia, and am stuck precisely at what you dub the "PITA" moment, (indeed!) around min 10, where after much trial/error you manage to get off the nuts holding the a/c lines to the compressor. (hard to see just what your solution was, other than deep well 12 mm sockets?) Frankly, I'm so frustrated with this that I'm wondering if it would be easier to just take the alternator above it off too, or just access it all from the side. (as seems repair guidance for earlier Sedonas was... (PS: I'm dealing also with the chronic oil leaks on these Sedonas, from the valve cover gaskets.... changed the front one years ago, but either it's failed again, or that extremely hard to get to rear one demands my attention) Have you done any videos on "that" nightmare job too? Thanks again for your efforts here to show us the way.
@CubasAutomotive28 күн бұрын
@@hugh3rdof5 no videos on the rear valve cover, but honestly not too bad of a job. I highly suggest replacing the PCV on that rear bank while your there. You should take care of the leaks sooner than later because (front bank) is known to kill alternators. I have gearless stubby wrenches with the shallow sockets from Astro. Or I may have used a gearwrench. I just viewed it. Thats a deep socket from harbor freight, Pittsburgh line & the ratchet is husky, I got from Home Depot... I then finish off with the gearless stubby ratchet (chrome will balled end). I wish you good luck. Btw, the gearless stubbys can be found on Amazon. Amazing tools. I have my original ones from 30 yrs ago. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0009IQ2BE?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

@CubasAutomotiveАй бұрын
@@timwalkerfukyt my bad. How we do it is by turning the adjustment screw all the way in.... then the drum comes right off unless the center of the drum is seized on the hub. If center is seized, then it needs to be sprayed down with lube & hit with a sledge towards the center making sure not to hit the studs. This is to break the bond. Then once bond is broken, hit the inner edge (the lip side near backing plate) towards out, smacking the drum off from inside. Don't concentrate on 1 spot. Alternate left to right & bottom. Smacking the drum lip from top is little more difficult. No swing room & you don't want to accidentally hit wheel cylinder. Also use the "blue wrench" & focus on the drum near center. Careful not to heat wheel cylinder. Smack it with a sledge & should pop off. Astro hub puller is a great tool, used to maintain pulling force while smacking or heating, as by itself it doesn't do the job. That tool is close to $700 though. Most ppl don't want to watch every sec. Hard to decide what to cut. Good luck.

@CubasAutomotive5 ай бұрын
@sidikleib5779 i assume you mean 1 to 2000 rpms. It sounds like you may have a vacuum leak or unmetered air issue. Using live data, specifically fuel trims on a scan tool should help you confirm this & point you in the right direction . Good luck

@CubasAutomotive5 ай бұрын
@@nickyroar401 the thumbnail itself identifies the problem. I'm sorry you don't understand pictures. I'm also sorry that a man doesn't know what these parts are or how they work. I was able to identify the problem of a non contributing cylinder without removing parts off the vehicle & within 20 mns of being on site. Other shops tossed parts at it, doing a tune-up & replacing parts which would NEVER fix an engine mechanical issue. Other shops took advantage of the customer, I did not. Unfortunately, lacking a cylinder, bro wasn't driving too far. ✌🏻

My 03 Tahoe is stalling out while I'm driving! Changed fuel pump and STILL DOING IT! My air filter is filthy. Vacuumed it out and grabbing a new one in the morning. Need GM tool to release fuel filter too. Will try swapping fuses and check codes too.
@CubasAutomotive6 ай бұрын
I would also check throttle body for cleanliness. If there's too much buildup on the butterfly blade the pcm has trouble keeping the correct idle or air flow. I hope that helps.

Do you think that it would be any easier to remove the interior locking/latch mechanism to access the inside of the exterior door handle? Thinking with larger hands, it will be nearly impossible to re-attach the small cable and tighten the mounting bolts.
