2013 Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake | 2012 Paris Auto Show | Edmunds.com

Mercedes has unveiled the new CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake, which won't be coming to the United States. Too bad really, because the twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 unleashes 525 horses, or if you opt for the Edition 1 model, a mighty 556. If it wasn't artificially limited to 155mph, this would be a 200mph wagon with a nautically-inspired, wooden floor.

That's because hunter's back in the 60's wanted a sports car that could haul their. It would be their break from shooting. A shooting brake if you will.

Why do Americans turn away from more fuel efficient wagons a d go for small SUV's instead? Because moms feel SAFER, and the small trendy SUV's tend to hold a bit more. A car will usually give a better ride and handling and better mpg. If gas continues to rise the trendy SUV's will turn more into Subaru's OUTBACKS.
