I presently drive a '93 XJS convertible. I've always done something which far too many people ignore. When I bought the car, before I took it out on the road for a serious run, I sat in the driver's seat with the owner's manual. I went through everything, one page at a time till I was satisfied that I knew what I had and what it would do. I've done this with every "outre" car I've owned. I talk with so many people who brag about their vehicle with no actual knowledge of what they have.

Best comment ever concerning a Mercedes Benz. I rode in a 2008 S550 and it just went down the road silently and smoothly. It's a lot of money purchasing and maintaining one but hell the driving experience should be great.

Awesome video Kyle love the underneath shots! I really love this new SL. I know some people don't think its as attractive as the previous generation but the interior is massively improved and I love the exterior details. Beautiful!

You know what would be a good add-on to your videos? Like you showing how fast the car can get to 0-60, like actually show the spedometer. Also like testing the launch control, etc.

If you pay MSRP, the dealers must love you. A top spec, every option 63 can be had for about 160-165 and for the 145, you can easily get a very nice 63 with several options thown in, and the amount of options are rather limited, since the car comes with lots of options from the factory.

I can attest to said statement being that my grandfather's 2010 S550 is just abundant with issues -- the brakes squeal, the 'check engine' light turns on and off at will, and the steering wheel vibrates at varying times. Funny enough, his 500SEL he bought new in '82 is still going strong at 238,000 miles with NO problems since 1994 when the battery took a dump, however that was a rather simple fix. The S550 is definitely his least favorite as far as arising issues.

it looks better in person, same with 13 range rover and Panamera Turbo. I do agree with the headlights but overall body is pretty much the same for the most part minus the vents, lights, and grille. european model does look better i might add.
