I know, i think some sort of tie break would be so much better, especially because every single member of the audience has a different view of what was done, depending on where they're sitting.

It was a really dumb mistake coming from someone who started her freshman year at Georgia saying she would beat Kupets' records. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. Normally, I don't root against a gymnast, but Shayla is the exception.

I'm sure Nastia was thinking I will use the only gymnast on my roster that has Rufolva against the Anna Pavlova who has been struggling with a bum knee and did a shaky combination. But Shayla fell apart anyways. So moot point.

I think the point of this wasn't form or following the Code of points, but more about throwing big skills without worry of deduction for bad form, uncontrolled landing ect. Besides, it's more for entertainment than anything else

This is a prime example of what I don't like what many girls say. You want to be treated equally, and yes, everyone should, but then you want to be treated special because females are "weaker", "not capable of defeating a male". But guess what honey, it will always be unfair, regardless of sex, age, gender, weight, height, etc. I am a gymnast, but if I were against ANY of these girls, they would beat me. So does that mean I should be with the males? EITHER WAY, unfair, and I'd lose. -Parker

Landing vaults on enough padding to provide a trampoline bounce makes it impossible to separately judge a stuck landing from a non-stuck landing. Also, letting an all American audience decide tie breaks is hardly unbiased... sure sells tickets though.

If anything, it's MORE skimpy here. Sports bras and workout shorts? The leos cover the arms, chest, and belly. Here there isn't anything covered except their breasts, and even that isn't completely. Not that it matters, really. The whole point of this "competition" was to throw big tricks and show off gymnast bodies to try and bring a more mainstream audience in, which it does. Bring on the sports bras.

" YOU want to be treated equally...Then YOU want to be treated special" That is making assumption about me. If you meant women as a group, you should have said women."Gender equality implies that men and women should receive equal treatment unless there is a sound biological reason for different treatment". Zhou Lulu won the heavyweight division in 2012 with 333 kg. Behdad Salimi won the mens, with a total of 455 kg. You think that is because they dont train the same way? Thats just plain wrong.

1. I did not say I knew about you, honey. It is impossible to not group someone in this world. If something is equal, then it is fair. 2. The quotation marks show what many woman say, one of which is exactly what you said in your comment directed to me, "weaker". Woman are not weak, which first off sounds so weird to me, because usually woman would be saying that, but anyway, you don't know that girl, a female could beat a male if they trained in the same way.

I liked it. But its so injust. the things that USA is the best is put like one single point(Vault, Tumbling). The things that they know they lost its put togeter ( Parallel Bars & Uneven Bars, Beam & Rings) and the fate that audience choose the tie. Its not so cool to see. Usa need to wins in this dirty way? And why apparatus like pommel horse that usa is ok and the world is good doesnt appear in here?
@realengibeer
@realengibeer 8 жыл бұрын
+Jardel Rodrigues yea, I found that Strange too.. But i Guess it's to even things out.. Otherwise USA would have gotten their Ass Whooped.. It's just for the show.. not so much a competition.. Sure Team USA is good.. i won't say otherwise! That's clear.. But i too thought they left out the Team World.. But it's just for the Show, just like American Idol, x-factor etc. :) But to answer your first question: Yes, they have to. To answer your second question: Because Team World would be better. The Show wouldn't be as good, the show is also for americans, and they don't like it when USA loses ;) It's a common fact ;)
@leeny722
@leeny722 7 жыл бұрын
Jardel Rodrigues pommel horse could not be an event because no female event matches up to it. You cannot ask females to do pommel horse because it's an event so far out of their apparatus. This is not being bias it's showing gender equality
@ianmckenna6146
@ianmckenna6146 7 жыл бұрын
Jardel Rodrigues the thing about floor and vault men do floor and vault and the women also do it so it's like two events just the same as the others
@leeny722
@leeny722 4 жыл бұрын
Star Tetrahedron wow okay. Bringing this back up 3 years later. What I meant and what I am assuming was misconstrued is that there was no other female event. Males have 6 apparatus while women only have 4. Two of which are the same- being vault and floor. Then women do uneven bars while men do high bars. Then women would do the balance beam while men do the ring. There is no other event for women at this point so it’s either a men only round or getting rid of the last male event. I cannot say anything in regards to why pommel horse was left out because I honesty don’t care but simply by the crowds reactions during male gymnastics competitions, ring and high bar always get the crowd rooting louder than Pommel Horse ever could. With that being said, thank you for mentioning me in a comment from three years ago.

The entire world did not take on the US. The olympic all around winner, kohei uchimura from japan wasn't there. Epke Zonderland, who won high bar wasn't there. Hak Yang Seon, who won vault, wasn't there. If Hak Yang Seon, Aleksandr Balandin (from russia), Epke, Kohei, Dennis Ablyazin, Shirai kenzo, Fabian Hambuechen, or pretty much any of the other major olympic gymnasts, then the US would have been screwed

Palfrey? Try Diana Nyad. Also Mimi Anderson is better than Gayter. But those sports are not very popular. Pretty sure no man has even attempted the Cube-US swim so winning that by default does not really prove a point here. They are amazing athletes for sure, but not better than the most amazing men. Also Chuso, though legendary, just compare her to Kohei. In strength, agility, speed, stamina, he would win hands down.. Again, she is amazing, but not better than the more amazing man.

Absolutely. Please go on google, and find a name of a woman, and I guarantee I can find a man stronger, faster, can jump higher, can throw farther...anything. Just give me a name. The only women ever to hold a world record higher than a man is in discus, and that is because the men have to throw a disk twice as heavy. So that voids it. Fact

I am not stupid...I know the difference. Before using "You" in the plural, you must first distinguish it. If I say "You are smart" you are going to assume I am speaking to you. Not to a group. Duh. Common grammar. Told you you have no point :) At least I know my facts and dont think that all women need to do is "train like men" in order to be as physically able as them....
