I watched this video and it was right on except that my brake line mount was already cut to allow me to remove the brake line without disconnecting it. I also just disassembled the entire parking brake.

Really excellent tutorial! What did you use to drive the seal in?

most likely a socket I don't remember

Right on 👍

Thank you. Did the fact that the new seal was placed a little further inward than the original one cause any problems? Is it still leak-free?

the offset seal point difference was only about 1/8".. I did this job over a year ago & it hasn't leaked
Great learning from you. I've got mine apart waiting for the seal and O ring. I'm wondering if the bearing needs to be repacked. Did the 90w lube break down the grease that was/is in it? I haven't pulled that axle out bc of the stank that will follow since I don't have the seals.

@Franco66 if you add grease to the bearing... it will disolve into the gear oil.. of course, I don't pack the bearing in grease, just apply a bit for prelube.. make sure you fill the diff full... maybe jack it up on the side you DID NOT service so the gear oil will run downhill into the bearing on the side you DID service... level the vehicle & recheck about 5 - 10 minutes later

That leak will cause those abs sensors (wheel speed sensors) to throw codes making the abs module go ham. ( Brake controller error) Ect. Bad design having thr sensor go in that way 😂 but oh well
