These are not recorded for the beginner player, and the displays are for the average player. I recommend having another window open and look up cards that you don't know. It's simply too complicated to put up most of the cards on a live stream like this.

Not at this particular tournament, but there are a few that participate in the Pro Tour regularly, and one of them Top8'd Pro Tour Gatecrash a few months back. There's also a lady on the English National team at the moment! :).

I would really like if they could show more of the cards being played so that the match is easier to follow. I enjoy having cards to look at during the gameplay, and sometimes it can be hard to see what is being played due to glare, or unclear images.

I'm new too and barely know any of the cards being played. I have the search engine on the official website up in another tab, but it is a lot of effort going back and forth the whole time, so I agree. Also, it seems like throughout these games for the most part only the cards in the hand of one of the players are being shown to the side. Would be useful to get to see both at once, or at least switch between them more often. However, overall it's very good to watch :) fun, too.

What would happen if someone played a Rude Awakening to turn all of their lands into creatures, then their opponent played a spell the next turn like Wrath of God that destroys all creatures. Would the first player have no lands left? Just a thought on how to deal with Rude Awakening.

Magic is not a game of turns, its a game of priority. And I would imagine the majority of viewers can keep up with whats being played without having it shoved in their face repeatedly. Its not very noob friendly but if they keep watching and pay attention, they'll figure it out pretty quickly (I know this from experience)!

@Tom LaPille Sorry but basic land cards ind boosters are stupid. If they were additional, okay, but drafting is often complicated enough, 45 instead of 42 cards would still reward the players that know what they should pick and also would reward those who are better at deck building. With such a high powerlevel as in MM 42 cards would still be okay, but drafting with basics in core sets is just miserable from time to time.

You also need to make it so that when you buy real cards you get a code on the cards that gives you them in magic online. That way magic online doesnt canibalize sales from stores which support the game and it gives players the ability to chose their medium at their will. Wizards does not lose anything because people often do not buy both.

It's irrelevant because with both being sorcery speed, they won't be played on the same turn. Rude Awakening wears off after a turn. However, if you get past sorcery speed (Hypersonic Dragon), the Wrath of God would destroy all lands, assuming they are still creatures from Rude Awakening.
