Good morning Jon ☕️. Nice review. I'm happy to see Honda producing this as well as the Monkey, CT125, and XL150. I miss the days of seeing a showroom floor with a broad spectrum of lower discplacement street legal options. For me, in rural NC, I could possibly see a purpose for the Honda Monkey to go fishing/exploring around local ponds and rivers, however my choice would probably be the larger Yamaha TW200. Eric in NC

Right on, Eric! I that the TW200 would be a better fit with a bit more versatility. Cheers!

Lots of these in Thailand, where I am. The more recent models are 5-speed. I love the look of the engine. Like half a small Ducati. They look good fun, but I'm not keen on 12'' wheels. 15'' wheels and a 150cc engine, and I'd be tempted. Maybe. Nick

Right on, I would prefer the larger diameter wheels and a bit more power as well. Cheers!

The wheels are too small, and the tyres have a dangerously tiny contact patch.

@@redtobertshateshandles it's a 125 street legal pit bike! I ride on 15" and it feels like a normal small dirtbike stop speculating just because it looks a certain way

the only thing that would concern me is visability.people cut off big bikes all the time because they didnt see them.being so small & low would only seem to dramatically increase that likelyhood.but other than that, im sure their fun affordable rides with honda's reputation of reliability & quality construction.

Right on, that's a good point. Cheers!

I rode one of these for a few years. It's something that you probably didn't think about. The lack of traction in the wet from those tiny tyres.

I literally LOL when I turned on KZbin on my TV! I'm severely hurt that there was no side view of you on it.☹️😭 Quite the shock after the Blackbird. I've never rode one, seen maybe 2 in the wild. Not popular in my rural area. How'd this compare to the CB125 you tested?

I like the look of the original 125 (but I'm an old guy). The Grom seems to have more torque and is very easy to ride with better brakes. Absolute performance may be similar, but the FI Grom reaches its limits in a low stress way. It feels like it will ride redline all day without complaint. Cheers!

Dangerously small wheels. Buy a CB125 and stay alive.

The Grom / MSX 125 realy is the father of all crotch rockets.

My daughter HAD to buy one of these because they look cool. Laughing at my advice to buy a CB125. She rode it once in three years. I found it wobbly with zero centrifugal force from the tiny wheels. The really scary thing happened to me when riding on a wet road on my way to work. The weight transfer took all the traction off the rear wheel and instantly the back wheel lost traction. I've been a Suzuki and Kawasaki mechanic and ridden many bikes with lousy traction. These are the worst. The wheels are too small. Only decades of road and dirt riding allowed me to avoid a collision with a pickup. Don't let anyone you care about buy one of these.

I agree, a really nice beginner bike, many miles to the gallon, and what about the inverted forks. Enjoyed the video, Jon and RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!

Quite well equipped for a 125 cc machine : fuel injection , upside down forks & rear disc brake .

I always like a bike with high aspect ratio tires. Those modern rubber bands just don't look right to me!!

100% correct. I nearly hit a pick-up and I've been riding for over 40 years. The tyre contact patches are tiny strips across the bottom of the tyres. Acceptable in dry conditions but deadly in the wet.
