I gotta tell you, in the last few years, I've driven several models from Audi and BMW. I owned a B7 (2008) A4 quattro s-line and when I would get a B8 for a loaner, I didn't like it as much. Still a nice car - Germans are the best IMO - but just not as nimble and fun as mine. The best modern car I drove from them was the 2013 A6 with the 3.0T because it was more balanced with power and size. The A3 sedan sounds intriguing, and funny enough, it's basically the same size as my B7. And outfitted with the 2.0T and quattro, pretty much the same car only updated. Given all that, we were committed to getting a new Audi, but wound up with a 428i..

Do these 4 banger motors still use a timing belt? That's the only thing stopping me from getting an Audi since so many of them use timing belts in the motors. Me and my buddy took 6 hours to change the timing belt in his A4 3.0. We had to take the car to a shop for them to evacuate the AC freon then did the work ourselves. The bumper had to come off, AC condensor removed which means changing the drier because of contamination then the front of the motor was accessible. Great driving car but horrible design.

Too bad B8s have transmission problems. In my 2014, 8-speed, once in a while, I feel an abnormal jerking, when I am slowing and the car shifts between 2nd and 1st, as I come to a stop. I've heard a lot about this issue on the Internet, and there are many proposed solutions, including Resetting or Reprogramming the TCM, or flushing the ATF (AUDI claims the fluid will last a "LIFETIME" and doesn't recommend flushing for my model/year). It's still under warranty, but it's hard to replicate so, unfortunately, the dealer will probably brush it off.

If you haven't driven the Ford, you wouldn't know. Compare them yourself and get back to me. Delusional? Hardly. More car for less money is an easy decision. Not to mention the repair bills on a 2005 Audi A4 that had less than 100K miles on it.

so you decided to use a completely different version for the thumbnail and instead did a video on a much more boring version

Hey I actually just noticed that.I'm pretty sure the one in the picture is the S-line package.. not the one he even called an 'S-line package' in the video.Clearly, the one in the video does not have S-line body kit.

sorry but that 4 sounds so sad. like honestly its not even that competitive in the segment for 4 cyl output and sound. the cadillac is putting out 295 foot pounds and 272 HP, the 328I is putting out better numbers as well.... come on audi step it up
@MegaTechpc10 жыл бұрын
I actually agree with you on that. The 328i's turbo four (and even the 320i) is much stronger than this long-in-the-tooth Audi model. Otherwise, its still a very solid A4 even if its basically still the same car they released 5 years ago...

"A4 design has remained the same for almost a decade" could also mean that Audi got it right the first time...

I used an A4 like this as one of my company cars for a bit and it seems like everything in the interior is fragile and I cannot believe it doesn't have a USB port for my phone (which I'm pretty sure the last Nissan Versa that I rented had). And holy crap that "fat baby" comment was hilarious! I personally think it resembles Gengar from Pokemon..

I know, right? My 02' Mitsubishi Galant gets those numbers. So a 2014 model should get better. Though it is AWD so you have to keep that in consideration.

Well, they could easily achieve 25-35 by offering FWD paired on a cvt. However, honestly, who would buy that?
