Awesome car. Love your style of narrating. And driving. In the video you drive like most of us do. Spirited but not carelessly. Some videos for the Bentley include it careening down a small mountainside road at high speed endangering most traffic she comes up against. Or someone is driving it 160 mph. Don't get me wrong I love speed, and watching Supercars and Exotics put through their paces, but under controlled conditions. Realistically where can you drive like that on the street here in Ontario. New subscriber here.

How refreshing to see a motoring tester conduct a road Test in a manner befitting the vehicle concerned and the intended normal process of road driving, to not have to put up with idiots that think everyone drives a car like a maniac doing 0-60mph time trials along with tyre smoking race track demonstrations is just great. I want to know what a person feels like driving a car like the Continental Gt normally , you did that perfectly, great review, and I am a former race car driver .

Brian Makse I raced Nascar Oval track/Sprintcar Dirt track/Circuit Motorcycles/ Drag Boats/Drag cars/Rally Cars..in fact anything that had four or two wheels I think I have raced in one form or another, at last count I have driven in access of 300 bonafide race vehicles in competition, so I guess you could call me somewhat of a 'performance' car/bike nut, I guess I am like most people who have had a competition background with race cars we dont want to see cars tested as though they were going to be used as you would a race car, really who actually sits at traffic lights in a car and engages launch control and is concerned about 0-100 kph times, only morons ....road cars are road cars, test them as they are designed to be used, like you guys do.

Flower Sisters Spot on, thanks! I don't need or want a race car for a road car. Some people, though, aren't fortunate like us and never get to experience, let alone master, a race car. I guess it's too tempting for them to make road cars do circus tricks, but like you, I don't understand it.

Brian Makse Sorry for the confusion with the different youtube tag, the 'Flower Sisters' is my granddaughters account, I must have logged in after she was using her channel and it wasnt signed out, however you worked it out that it was me replying. Anyway the main thing is you guys keep doing your tests/reviews the way you currently are and the Motor industry will get their vehicles presented as they were intended to be used and evaluated, ok its not over the fence to do some 'spirited' driving in high performance cars, we all want a performance car to react like one, but within the realm of normal available public road requirements.

Wonder how it compares to say the S Class coupe or S65 AMG coupe? I suspect refinement levels would be still better in the Bentley. Test one! :D I spoke to a Bentley owner recently who also owns MB, and he said that he preferred the driving dynamics of his S class (although it is an S600 v12) rather than his Bentley (he had the Flying Spur as far as I can tell). I do love the Bentley looks though...those headlights and the rear end are excellent.

Yeah, we'll be testing those soon. Refinement indeed...it comes down to the level of fit and finish of the Bentley and it tops just about anything else from higher volume makers. They use better materials all around and take no shortcuts.

What would you recommend as the better drivers car for everyday use; the V8S or the Speed and why?

I like the V8S, actually. It weighs a little less, but all of that weight is gone from the nose of the car which makes it feel a little more lively. And the V8 S sounds a heck of a lot better than the W12.

I've never been overly wowed by the Bentley but this one, with its beautiful black paint, subtle styling mods and lowered stance certainly made me think again! Cool ride!

Thanks! We use a few different set ups. When we shot this one, we were using a Canon Rebel DSLR and GoPros for supplemental shots. Now, we've moved on to mostly a Panasonic GH4 (Top Gear uses them, as well) and we're shooting a lot of it in 4K, as well.

I actually realized something. In almost every European car reviews, these cars have Michigan plates on them no matter where the folks test them.Is there specific reason for that or it's just a huge coincidence? Anyway, nice review and the interior exterior color match is awesome.

I am not sure if you managed to get your hands on the new 2015 Mercedes S63 Coupe, but how do you think the Bentleys compare to the new Mercedes S63 coupe?

Haven't tested the new Benz yet, so I really can't comment at this point, however, one key point is that Bentleys remain lower volume cars with a lot of quality hand work.

Hey thanks for the video. I am about to buy a few vehicles and for the Bentley I had my heart set on the GTC Speed, but I came across a V8 S that looked beautiful. Will I get that much more from the V12. Which is quicker and more agile? Since you review cars I was planning on getting a Ferrari 488 GTB Spider, but then I saw the McClaren 720S Spider. Which would you choose? And then as my sports car I will be getting the SSC Tuatara. Have you test driven that vehicle and if so, do you think its worth the price? I would love to have seen the Bentley V12 race the V8. Next time. But again, thank you so much
