I like the octane booster, but I really wish Amsoil would have the capless compatibility of the PI and upper cylinder additives. Though I just put the OB into an empty PI bottle on my Taurus SHO, it's just the first time i used it there was a huge puddle mess.

They redid the bottles in the upper cylinder lubricant and the PI cleaner are both the gasless gas cap compatible at the thread area there's four flat tip ends and it allows you to yank out real smooth.

I think the octane booster sometimes is a little bit of a stickler that one does not have the flat edges to the threads to wiggle out the bottle

I got all amsoil fluids in everything and the 3rd to 4th transmission shift always slams into gear, and normally all 6 shift points are pretty smooth but I just gotta get it diagnosed next week 🧐

Great question Gus yeah it depends on the application and driving conditions personally I live here in Vegas and I run 33% concentrate 66% distilled water that gives a little better specific heat capacity because the specific key capacity of water is one and a specific heat capacity of concentrate is 0.6 so it's quite a bit of a difference so if you want to have a better heat transfer you want to have more distilled water however your cold flow protection will be compromised since I live in Vegas it only gets down to about 19 degrees at the coldest and at a 33% ratio you're good to about 10°. Yeah I have a video on a Honda pilot if you type in Honda pilot Amsoil coolant change you'll see the video it warms up in about 2 minutes and 50 seconds It's amazing how much quicker the vehicle warms up with the coolant boost. Also the air coming out of the vent blows a lot hotter

Can I add the coolant boost to my 2019 F-250 6.7 power stroke? Not a daily driver. Only has 6k miles and only use it to pull my toy hauler. I will be towing all summer from SoCal to Arizona in the heat. I still have factory coolant of course because it's still so new. If I can, how much would I add? Don't want to over fill either. How much water do we put with coolant?

Great question Andy you can run it at whatever ratio you want for your application for instance I personally run 66% distilled water in my car and 33% concentrate I live in Las Vegas and that gives me a cold freeze temperature to about 10°. If you live somewhere pretty cold you definitely want to stick with 50/50 I just like the more distilled water because it has a higher specific heat capacity of one which cools the motor more pulls more heat out has a better heat transfer I also love using the low toxicity biodegradable coolant the white bottle with the Amsoil Dominator cooling boost and you will see everything right here. You don't have to It's just best to do it a couple times to flush out as much of the old coolant and contaminants as possible

If your coolant is really dirty it's best to do it three times with distilled water that will get most of the old coolant out always good to run the heater when you're driving that will circulate the fluid through the heater core

You can do it with coolant concentrate or with distilled water depending on the ratio depends on the amount of coolant boost you add. For every quart of concentrate you would add 1 oz of boost for every quart of distilled water you would add 2 oz of boost

Yes the only one you want to avoid it's called a waterless coolant like Evan's cool those ones you have to drain the system completely and get all the water out. That's the great part about the propylene glycol is it doesn't separate with a lot of the OEM coolants

It seems like it but actually it's not that much once you drain it it only drains about 60% of it a little bit stays in the heater core and the motor. It's surprisingly easy You can do this in about 2 hours between cleanup and everything
