To the whole donut team: Guys, I deal with cars on regular basis at my job, but sadly, no one is tech savvy around me so if I actually want to perform better I had to learn things on my own. Your videos allowed me to learn in a fun and interesting way and it worked out. Especially the money pit and bumper2bumper episodes! Due to my recently acquired knowledge more and more collegues turned to me for help which gave me the statute of the local expert and naturally raised me as a leader. Further down the line I gained the confidence to stand up to management and ask for a raise with my team fully behind me. This happened today! If you live in an area with nice quality soft water, you can fill from the hose for flushing and rinsing cycles only. Your last rinse and drain and your final refill of mixed coolant should be done with distilled or R.O. water though. Here in Arizona, if I filled the system with tap water the car would just vanish from existence as the car gods deemed me unworthy to own and abuse such machinery. 😸 Our tap water leaves a chalky film after evaporating even a tiny bit of it in a glass one time.

Tech Tip.. even though you tighten everything down etc.. and did a awesome job... after first heat up and cool down.. Check Every Single Clamp.. you see.. the hose Seat or mold to any new surface.. week later check again... peace

I like how honest you guys are with mistakes. It's tough when people cut that stuff out because new tuners make mistakes and get discouraged thinking they suck.

I did a V8 swap in my 1984 (S12) Datsun 200sx. I had used the original 4 cylinder radiator a while....it would slowly warm while sitting in traffic. I swapped out the radiator to a 3 row radiator for a 240 SX (S13).....now it never gets hot while idling in traffic.....the radiator and dual cooling fan upgrade really helped!

I'm one of the very few lucky Saturn guys that was able to score a Be Cool aluminum radiator made for the S series before they discontinued them and its hands down a crucial mod for running a turbo... Props for doing this first...too many people over look these mods until it's "necessary"

Bam! No more overheating for you at the track or while being stuck in traffic on a hot day. Now you'll be able to flog it all u want. That's a sick kit u put in. Great install video too, there's always a hiccup, every time.

Great info here, well done. I like how you explained the fan shroud situation. I run a single spal slim mount with no shroud on my built turbo track/street car. It pulls plenty of air to keep things cool at idle, and there isn't a shroud at all, so plenty of flow at high speeds. I like how you explained the crossflow rad design too. Good stuff my guy!

Thanks for getting me excited about the most boring first step on "performance upgrades". Been looking at my stock cooling system and just how hot my engine feels after "normal" driving, and won't feel bad doing this as a first "non-stock" project.
