It is a very similar sound to the WRC DS3 obviosuly I imagine it used the same negine and ALS system, not many teams in WTCC use ALS I reckon

Holy hell, this car is a complete beast! Absolutely incredible... My most pants-creaming moment was at 01:59. I´d presume this is a 2-litre single-turbo with anti-lag, is that correct? It´s got to be one of the most devilish WTCC´s, in terms of sound as well as bhp output. Fuck it, I´m gonna watch it again...

Roman Samudra oops... may be a team mate, know as pechito, have been dominating the wtcc since he arrived.!!! I´m from argentina, I live in Córdoba, we have the wrc every year here, and I absolutely respect Loeb, he is the best driver I ever seen on rally. Nothing to say about that. He is the best. (period) But this is not rally, and may be pechito (josé maria lopez) is not as famous as sebastien, but trust me on this, he is a fenomenal driver, and in tourism car he drives like only a few in the world can. Here in monza, being a test driver, he beat the world champion, Yvan Muller coming just a few hours ago from the other side of the world with almost no rest (he was driving in argentina). He eats for driving, he trains her body thinking in driving.He is a superprofessional driver. So I´m not trying to diminish Loebs skills in no way, but if you have lopez in the track, you know something for sure: You are compiting against a Class A driver, focused as hell, well trained, professional 24/7, with victory written in his forehead, and with skills only a few drivers have.

They are based on production cars, with limited modifications. However, it is up to the manufacturer to decide if they want to put similar performance into its road car brothers. French typically won't bother, so your best chance will be from Honda. Their new Civic Type R is said to be "not a high-performance road car, but a racing car for the road".
