I was really pleased with the video quality of your Sony FDR AX100. Their latest iteration is the FDR AX53 -- which is less capable than your AX100 -- that I'm ordering for myself. It beats my Samsung Note4. 4K is the way to go -- until 8K comes along in a couple of years. But for my purposes, 4K resolution is plenty good enough. Thanks for posting this on KZbin.

Rail travel has become so much more popular with the American public because it's cheaper more relaxing and more comfortable. When taking cross country trains you get beautiful scenery and bustling cities. Also you don't have to worry about delays for weather and things like that as much
@Trainlover19958 жыл бұрын
Don't forget the fact Amtrak doesn't subject you to security screenings. I went to the Emeryville station, and there was practically no TSA presence. Oh, and Amtrak has more legroom than coach class airline seating, which favors capacity over comfort.
@Mylitla8 жыл бұрын
BNSF1995 Amtrak coach seating (at least on the Superliners) has more leg room, wider seats and flatter reclines than any first class seating the airlines have to offer. Though, sleeper accommodations are the way to travel. It's nice to arrive at your destination rested, freshly showered and well fed.

Larry, if you see my comment, you will see how I understand what you mean. However, when travelling long distances sitting relatively motionless it is not unusual to doze off and miss whole stops giving the experience you described (that is, where am I?). If he editor had that in mind it was a creative enhancement to just cutting and pasting segments together. Waking up in Pittsburgh after stops in Colorado (is there a Pittsburgh in the west like the one in PA?) gave me the same feeling I had on the one Broadway Limited trip I took returning from Chicago on a business trip when I did wake up in Pittsburgh. I hope you enjoy other videos by this producer if watched in the way I just happened to be partly asleep for in this one. Regards, Bob Reuter.

@bobreuter27055 жыл бұрын
Hi. I found the trip vey restful. I watched a six-minute clip about a New York Central 0-6-0 and stayed for another couple of shorts until falling asleep with my head phones on and, I think, making one full round trip to the West Coast and back (that is, stops in Colorado came before seeing platform signs saying Pittsburgh). Nothing much happened in Pittsburgh and I woke up again looking at some nice suburban developments in what I figured was western or central Pennsylvania en-route to Philadelphia (or, was I again going the other way?). I completely awakened after that segment and decided it was time to look for something to do on my feet. The continuing items of interest were the low, rumble of the rails and her occasional snaps, crackles and pops usually encountered when all that weight of metal is moving around 50-80 mph on a just slightly less than a set of always perfectly flat rails (crossings, switches, movable bridges, and so on). Ahhhhhhh/Stretch, I think I may check out the diner to see if there is sill time for a bite to eat before we get to our last stop. Hmmmmm. I guess I really overslept; as, I think my third leg of this odyssey was the trip to Seattle. I guess I'll be a little late for dinner in Connecticut.

There are sites you can google but the scanners are in fixed locations.. You need a scanner on board to monitor your trains radio traffic.
